[player_tooltip player_id='1298255' first='Sahir' last='Mantri'] was one of the best players last week in his outing against Falls Church. Going a ridiculous 7-7 for 216 passing yards, Mantri and the rest of the starters only needed a half to make their statement. This dude is going to be fun to watch helping the Chanticleers back to the playoffs, one of the more accurate passers in the region.

The ever long quarterback battle between junior [player_tooltip player_id='1297748' first='Tyrone' last='Jackson'] and Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1232496' first='Michael' last='Suris'] did not come any clearer last week in their win over Colgan. Both qbs have major upside and this week the Warhawks and their top ranked defense are coming to town. [player_tooltip player_id='1297748' first='Tyrone' last='Jackson'] had some good moments against Colgan but he will need to be point going against a Madison squad coming off a shutout over Stone Bridge.

Soon enough more people are going to respect [player_tooltip player_id='1230156' first='Nahshon' last='Wilson']'s game, he just took down Benedictine last week. Wilson has a few division 1 offers but after what he did last week he deserves some power 5 opportunities.

Last week in Patriot's impressive victory over Westfield Villanova commit Jackson McCarter did a lot of the heavy lifting but Knutson performed well also. A top ranked qb Knutson should get some FCS opportunities soon, he is 6'4 and can move in the pocket. His continued development will be interesting to watch with the Pioneers all season long.

As he continues to learn a new offense it is imperative that [player_tooltip player_id='1198378' first='Nick' last='Mrad'] looks more comfortable then he did in Fairfax win over Wakefield this past Monday. It should be understandable to have some struggles transitioning to a new offense but I saw some really positives out of Mrad in the Lions win nonetheless. You can see his ability to extend plays and throw on the run and he hit a bomb to [player_tooltip player_id='1349363' first='Penn' last='Morris'] that set up one of their scoring drives. Facing a solid Oakton team tonight should give him more chances to show why I believe he is one the best quarterbacks in the state.

Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1422269' first='Anthony' last='Jackson'] had quite the debut in Osbourn's statement opening win over South Lakes. Jackson threw for 246 yards and 3 touchdowns against a playoff team from a year ago, yeah the Eagles are going to have a fun bounce back season. This kid is going to be one to remember if he keeps up performances like that and their is no reason why he shouldn't . Osbourn has legit weapons all around him, Jackson and this offense are going to shock a lot of people this fall.

Thru two games [player_tooltip player_id='1310391' first='Bryan' last='Resto'] has been as advertised if not better for the Virginia Academy Patriots. He looks healthy and rejuvenated playing for Coach Woods and he has the ability to play at the next level. Resto is really seeing the field well even in their loss to Calvert Hall he threw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. He has been very accurate and elusive, keep on eye on him the rest of the year he is going to have eye popping stats.

The big man under center for the Huskies [player_tooltip player_id='1232256' first='Caleb' last='West'] is hard to miss at 6'7 and 220 lbs.. In their loss last week to Blue Ridge West was on point with both his deep ball and shorter passing routes. He really looks like he is taking the next step as a potential division 1 quarterback. With the loss of top offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1204861' first='Luke' last='Richardson'] that had to have hurt the Huskies confidence right before the season. Tomorrow Flint Hill needs to regroup when the welcome a very talented Woodberry Forrest squad. By watching the first game, it appears that West quick release and accuracy will be relied upon to help his squad get on the winning track.
