The Olympic Trojans won an emotional and hard-fought 26-23 game over the North Meck Vikings in a postponed game that was completed on Saturday Night. We will take a look at some of the offensive standouts from both teams right here.

[player_tooltip player_id='760044' first='DeAngelo' last='Hall'] - TE - Olympic - DeAngelo was definitely the go-to receiver for the Trojans, as they used him on a combinations of short routes and screens to get the ball in his hands and keep the chains moving for the Trojans offense. I thought DeAngelo showed strong hands in catching the football and showed how versatile he can be as a vertical tight end prospect that can flex out and help all over the field in the passing game.

[player_tooltip player_id='760719' first='Solomon' last='Ford'] - ATH - Olympic - The senior prospect showed his athletic ability on a nice catch on the sideline in the first half. Solomon has some good hands and speed, and although he is a defender first, he is a passing game threat that the Trojans use as a big-play option when throwing the football deep down the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='760023' first='Devin' last='Walker'] - RB - Olympic - The talented Senior prospect didn't get a ton of opportunities in space as the Trojans were dealing with some injuries in their offensive line. But, Devin did show that he has a ton of power behind his 5'9 frame running the football, running straight throw a Vikings defender on an inside zone play. Walker has proven to be one of the best running backs in Charlotte over the past few years.

Fernando Zalaya - K - Olympic - I was impressed with Fernando's overall game. He nailed a 30 yard field goal with ease and did a great job executing directional short kickoffs for the Trojans which kept the ball out of North Meck's dangerous kickoff returners and forced them to drive the field for their scores, limiting their big play opportunities overall.

Justin McBean - RB - North Meck - The 2025 prospect had a good game as the main feature in the Vikings running game. Justin had an important touchdown run in the 4th quarter to cut the Olympic lead to 3 points. I thought Justin showed a lot of patience - the Trojans defense did a good job of bottling him up most of the night, but Justin was disciplined in his runs, trusting his linemen and his eyes and getting the most he could on every run opportunity that he was given. I like his agility and footwork when pressing the hole on zone plays especially.

[player_tooltip player_id='612108' first='Landon' last='Gilmore'] - WR - North Meck - Landon showed some good things on Saturday as a dynamic slot receiver. The Vikings did some good things with screens and quick passes to get the football in his hands quickly, and Landon was productive, showing good speed and great footwork and agility in space to make plays. Landon scored a rushing touchdown as well from 4 yards out, using his speed to get past the Olympic defense to the corner of the end zone for the touchdown.
