Newcomers: DFW Area Running Backs To Watch in Week Two

<p>Week Zero was the introduction of several running backs who made big plays for their teams and had big days on the ground. These young rushers have the skill sets to be difference makers and will be players to watch heading into the second week of the season. We spotlight several up and coming running backs in the DFW area to watch this weekend.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Newton had great game in the first week of the season in Walnut Grove's 63-28 win versus Newman Smith. He set the tone with his power running and his ability to make plays in the passing game out of the back field. He is quick in space with the skill set to make players miss in the open field. Newton will be a player to watch this week as they take on Little Elm. He rushed for 70 yards and touchdown. He runs with great patience with excellent pad level and he has the power to shrug off arm tackles. Bly is a excellent receiver out of the back field who has reliable hands and he has the burst to get north quickly. He is a young rusher to watch this week for Seguin as they head into a big game against Red Oak. He rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns to help Crowley to a big win. He has excellent short area quickness, he his shifty in space and he hits the hole like his hair is on fire with an explosive burst. Cotton plays with a low center of gravity, he runs with excellent pad level and he has the power to break arm tackles. He has a compact, stout build, he runs with excellent forward lean and he runs with power between the tackles. He has the power to break arm tackles and when he gets to the second level he is load for defensive backs to deal with in the open field.
