DAKOTAS-- We keep the gas pedal down as this week in the Dakotas will be a heavy slate of content coming from not only our Midseason Top Performers (wow, has this season flown already) but our Week Big Dogs of the Week from across the Dakotas. We feature three athletes from North Dakota and South Dakota with Part I, and will keep punching the tape for the rest of the week to find even more. We answer the questions: Who was a standout 2025 WR we missed the boat on from last update that just beat the #1 team in 11AA? Who is a 2027 QB from North Dakota that keeps progressing? Which Sioux Falls 2026 running back that had an outstanding summer of development that has already hit our radar twice this fall for his game performance? We answer those questions and more below!

It was Watertown 2025 wide receiver that made a statement for the Watertown Arrows against the #1 Pierre Governors in their aerial attack on Friday night. Nathan recorded three receptions for 114 receiving yards, including an 87-yard receiving touchdown. The sneaky deep threat, showed off an explosive first step which set the tone with his route running to escape quickly in pass coverage and the versatility of where this young man lines up seems to be a tough catch for some of the best 11AA defenses in the last few weeks as he constantly finds huge seperation on tape especially coming out of the box. Nathan also shows off great hands and much more sudden burst than he gets credit for as another asset in the Arrows return game. He is one that is certainly getting added to our 2025 rankings board as we speak, as one that was a rare miss by us last time.

It seems like week after week Daevion blossoms on tape with the skillsets I saw all summer long. This week, you have to give credit to the growth of this young man's vision as he gotten so much more elusive with his footwork and patience within the inside box and logged two touchdowns last week and over 100 yards rushing in the Cavaliers win over Sioux Falls Washington. He got every hard-earned yard he could get last week against the Warriors for sure as a RB I could see jumping up some spots when our 2026 rankings come out. Twitter

Logging five touchdowns in three games, Ryder showed off plenty of versatile skillsets on tape from what I watched in the last week. He showed off his constantly growing catch radius and length at 6'3 185 pounds and processed well with his footwork when he was in the heart of the red zone. Ryder's length certainly showed why he got frequent huge seperation as one that has a rangy route-tree as a sound possession wide receiver. Ryder is one that I feel is significantly under the radar with his stock up out of WWSSC. Twitter

Jack showed off an impressive stat line in just one half of action against Fargo Shanley last week. Three receptions, 66 receiving yards 1 receiving touchdown and defensively, one interception on defense, 1 pass break up, and a handful of tackles. Jack's tape shows off in and out move with his agility with his first move to just get enough separation to finish in the end zone with ease and elusiveness with his hands. He also impressed with his range on tape at corner, as even playing 15 yards off his wide receiver he was able to use his length and instincts to reel in a diving interception for the Sabers showing off great timing jumping the route. He has certainly developed since the 2023 season with getting yards after contact as you can tell the attention to detail with his change of direction has grown as a 2026 North Dakota prospect on the rise.

Tucker is a quarterback that is due to become a stockriser in our 2025 rankings, as the pocket awareness and ability to extend the plays with his legs continue to show off during Week 4 against Grafton. You can tell by the way Tucker reads the defense his decisiveness he has throwing on intermediate and deep routes that he looks for the best possible ball fit with his throws. Defensively in Week 4, yet again Tucker showed off persistence with his timing as the free safety catch an interception and used his athleticism to utilize the open field for a pick six. Certainly a hidden gem at the next-level in my eyes hiding in Rugby. Twitter

A 2027 prospect that just keeps appearing with productive stat numbers on my Twitter timeline is Central Cass 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1292702' first='Brody' last='Kegley'], who is our QB1 in the 2027 class and has certainly continued to show why. Logging four passing touchdowns in Week 4 against Lisbon, I like Brody's raw awareness getting out of a jam in the pocket and quick release to find a wide open target in the end zone showing off great athleticism and growing awareness. He also shows off good precision for his age on intermidate routes which was shown well-versed in his Week 4 tape. The constant quick progressions on deep routes is only going to keep grooming this young man's talents quickly as the Squirrels week by week, keeping adding prospects to our Big Dogs of the Week this season.
