<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We're starting to see enough of a trend in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee to make much more accurate guesstimates on what some of the region standings will look like in October.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It all breaks down to which players are able to take advantage of their opportunities.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This zone saw several players have some of their best games so far in 2024 during Week 2.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1399640' first='Noah' last='Legg']</strong> QB, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1025782' first='Jordan' last='Jenkins']</strong> WR, Conway</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Tigers needed every bit of production from their quarterback and top receiver to come back against Cheraw. Legg threw for 150 yard and a touchdown while rushing for another 65 yards. Jenkins had three receptions for 112 yards and that touchdown. The Tigers managed only 57 yards of offense and four first downs. The trio of linebackers was a huge reason why. Lloyd finished the 22-0 win with six tackles, four tackles for loss and a sack. Brown had 11 total tackles. Against Wilson, Fling did have 56 yards and a touchdown on the ground. But, more importantly - considering top receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1165163' first='Zamaurious' last='Robertson'] was out with an ankle injury - Fling's 97 receiver yards and a score there was more than enough padding to propel the Wildcats to the win. Both of his scores came in the opening quarter.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Amare Godfrey</strong> RB, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1429140' first='Christian' last='Royals']</strong> QB, and <strong>Daniel Deveaux</strong> K/P/LB, Socastee</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After Socastee lost yet another player to injury mid-week, Godfrey used his eight rushes to tally up 114 yards and a touchdowns. Royals added his best performance yet by rushing for two touchdowns and 43 yards. In routing the Bears, Stewart had seven tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a pass break up and a forced fumble. Carvers Bay was able to score only six points, and Andrews rolled again.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Quantez Dyson</strong> WR/DB, Loris</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dyson (pictured) touched the ball exactly two times in a blowout win over South Columbus (N.C.). Both times, he ended up in the end zone. Dyson, the Lions' top receiver, hauled in a 68-yard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='797160' first='Moon' last='Gerald']</strong> pass for his first score in the second quarter to put Loris ahead 21-0.
