Week Three in Kansas kicks off tomorrow.

Coaches have two weeks of film to analyze, some players have suffered injuries, and several teams are still undefeated.

Here are five games key games this week in Kansas.

Junction City (1-1) @ Wichita Northwest (2-0) – This is the most intriguing game on the schedule this week. The Grizzlies are undefeated and won 14-0 win over Wichita East. Junction City is coming off a shoot-out loss to Lawrence. The winner of this Class 6A matchup will get a leg-up on the other for postseason seeding.

[player_tooltip player_id='904436' first='Augie' last='Fast'], RB, 6'1”, 190, Wichita Northwest, ‘26

Fast is a quick and talented running back who is taking full advantage of his opportunities at Northwest. He has rushed for 355 yards and three touchdowns in two games. The junior back explodes through gaps and is tough to tackle. Fast is currently ranked No. 143 overall in the class of 2026 by Prep Redzone.

Manhattan (2-0) @ Hays (1-1) – In a battle between Indians Manhattan will travel to Hays looking to improve to 3-0. Manhattan has wins over Garden City and Free State to open its season. Hays is coming off a 42-7 victory over the Wheat Ridge (CO) Farmers after losing to Derby in the Indians' season opener.

[player_tooltip player_id='1112377' first='Carter' last='Aslin'], QB, 6'0”, 170, Manhattan, ‘25

Lee is a quarterback I look forward to seeing plays this week as I will scout the game in Wamego. Lee threw for two touchdowns and 131 yards in the win over Bishop Ward. He also rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. He is ranked No. 276 overall. Young quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1113129' first='Logan' last='Fulton'] threw for 125 yards and a TD.

Basehor-Linwood (2-0) @ Shawnee Heights (1-1) – The Bobcats and Thunderbirds will meet in a key United Kansas League contest. The Bobcats enter the game with wins over Leavenworth and Piper. Shawnee Heights has a win over Topeka West and a loss against Washburn Rural.

[player_tooltip player_id='1428950' first='Royce' last='Daniels'], DL, 5'10”, 195, Shawnee Heights, ‘26

Daniels is a young prospect off to a great start for the T-Birds defense. In two games he has 20.5 total tackles. He uses leverage and speed to defeat blockers. He is currently unranked by Prep Redzone, but he is turning heads and will be added to the Kansas rankings when next updated.

Wamego (2-0) @ Marysville (2-0) – The Bulldogs and Red Raiders are both off to perfect starts to their respective seasons. A perfect record will come to an end for at least one of these teams. Marysville won a close game over Nemaha Central and squashed Hiawatha. Wamego has a home win over Rock Creek and a road victory over Concordia. The Red Raider defense has given up just eight points in two games and shut out the Mustangs in week two.

[player_tooltip player_id='1464032' first='Mason' last='Isch'], LB, 5'10” 165, Wamego, ‘27

Isch is a dangerous middle linebacker on a fast Wamego defense. He leads the Red Raiders in tackles after two games with 21 total. He is currently unranked, but look for him to be added when the 2027 rankings are updated. He is also effective in pass coverage for Wamego.

Beloit (2-0) @ Southeast Saline (2-0) – This is the game I will be scouting this week. Southeast of Saline and Beloit meet with unbeaten streaks on the line. This will be a battle of historic proportions as two legions of Trojans clash. Beloit has wins over Lyons and Concordia, while Southeast has victories over Minneapolis and Clay Center.

[player_tooltip player_id='1229095' first='Grady' last='Gebhardt'], RB, 5'8”, 170, Southeast Saline, ‘26

Gebhardt is currently ranked No. 225 in the Kansas Class of 2026. He plays running back and linebacker for the Trojans. In two games this season he has rushed for 435 yards and four touchdowns on 50 carries. Defensively he has 21 total tackles in two contests. He finished his sophomore season with 104 tackles. He has almost surpassed his season total of 452 yards from a season ago.
