2027 Rankings Update: Offensive Linemen Breakdown

<p>We have officially released another rankings update in Arkansas for the class of 2027. In this article, we will showcase the 2027 offensive linemen with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position in each class, including other segments. For the offensive linemen, I will provide you with evaluations of some of the top prospects and the players flying under the radar:</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='602403' first='Ayden' last='Rodgers'] lands at number two on our board. Rodgers has experience at each position, center, guard, and tackle. Rodgers displays good initial quickness, hand placement, and timing to create inside leverage off the snap and displace defenders out of their gaps. Good combo blocking ability, reaching the second level with solid foot speed. Strong anchor in pass protection against both speed-to-power and bull rushers due to solid lower body strength, bend and balance. He engages opponents quickly with good hand placement, timing, pad level, and reach, creating leverage to either displace the defender or drive the defensive lineman back into the second level. Solid combo block ability. Summers exhibits good initial quickness and a strong initial punch vs DL at the line of scrimmage. He maintains a strong anchor in pass protection through good lower body strength, balance, bend, and hand placement while displaying good vision and awareness to locate stunts/twists. His strong lower body enables him to drive defenders into the second level effectively or displace them to create running lanes. Overall, he possesses solid hand timing, placement, and strength to win at all phases. Heard displays good initial quickness off the LOS with good pad level and hand placement to create leverage and displace defenders to create running lanes. His quickness and power allows him to dominate in base and down blocks, walling off defenders quickly. He demonstrates a strong anchor due to good lower body strength, bend, and balance to stop a bull or speed to power rusher. Solid athletic ability with consistent physicality at the POA. Sturdivant displays good initial quickness off the snap, displaying good pass protection in all pass sets (Jump, 45 & Vertical) due to good hand placement, upper and lower body strength and the balance and lateral agility to mirror vs defenders. Demonstrates a strong anchor with good lower body strength, UOH, balance, solid core strength, and bend to control pass rushers. Able to get out in space on running situations, utilizing pulls and zone runs due to his good footwork, angles, and the leg drive to displace defenders.
