2026 Rankings Update: Linebackers Breakdown

We have officially released another rankings update in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2026. In this article, we will showcase the 2026 linebackers with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position in each class, including other segments. For the linebackers, I will provide you with evaluations of some of the top prospects and the players flying under the radar:     [player_tooltip player_id='283584' first='Braxton' last='Lindsey'] lands at number two on our board at the position. He demonstrates a sideline-to-sideline motor that allows him to be dominant against the run and pass. Lindsey's motor is relentless as he attacks downhill with good tackling technique and angles to pursue the ball carrier and make a play in space. Displays good hand placement to work off blocks and force a stop at the LOS or in the backfield while staying square at the POA. Good read and react ability with good feel in zone coverage. Good change of direction and lateral agility, allowing him to arrive at the catch point to force a PBU and work through his assignments. Chaffin is a downhill, physical linebacker who showcases good angles and physicality in space. He is consistently in the backfield due to his ability to shoot through gaps on blitzes or work off of blocks and make a play at the LOS. He displays good use of hands to shed blocks while staying square or displacing receivers on routes. He has a sideline-to-sideline motor with a good change of direction to control his zone or shut down underneath routes quickly. Redman is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker with physicality at the POA. He displays good quickness and pursuit ability to shoot through gaps and chase down ball carriers. He has good read and react ability, attacking downhill with good angles or dropping back into coverage, locking down his zone. He also tackles well in space and has the ability to be dominant off the EDGE. Summons consistently penetrates the backfield because he can shoot through gaps during blitzes and work off blocks while staying square to make plays at the LOS, showcasing his good foot quickness and athleticism. Summons display good use of hands to shed blocks or disrupt receivers on their routes while staying square. With his sideline-to-sideline motor, good change of direction, and lateral agility, he controls his zone and shuts down underneath routes efficiently. Whether it's off the EDGE from the 4-7 tech or off-ball linebacker, he will succeed as he is scheme versatile.
