2026 Rankings Update: Defensive Backs Breakdown

We have officially released another rankings update in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2026. In this article, we will showcase the 2026 defensive backs with analysis. Over the next month, I will break down these rankings by position in each class, including other segments. Gray possesses strong diagnostic abilities within the secondary, enabling him to locate the football quickly. He demonstrates good fluidity and boundary awareness to read and react effectively. His ability to change direction smoothly allows him to transition and run while staying inside the hip pocket of the receiver, not allowing much room for separation. Arrives at the catch point to force PBUs consistently. He also has good speed and fluidity, allowing him to transition quickly and stay inside the hip pocket of the receiver, preventing any separation and forcing pass breakups. Additionally, he showcases a sideline-to-sideline motor with physicality. Ferguson demonstrates a good sideline-to-sideline motor. He attacks downhill vs the run with good angles and physicality at the point of attack. Jones is someone to watch throughout 2024. His hip fluidity allows good transitions, helping him stick with his man vertically and on breaks. Wilson's controlled change of direction and fluidity help him maintain close coverage, either inside the hip pocket or over the top, during breaks, and he demonstrates good feel in zone coverage at the back end. Additionally, Wilson offers the versatility to either move into the box or cover the deep thirds. Add him to your recruiting board.
