As if they rose from the ashes like the Phoenix, there are prospects who seemingly come out of the woodwork. What differentiates this set of prospects from the rest is that from the ashes of the watchlist, they rose and are here to stay. Below are a handful of prospects that were watchlisted and, immediately upon film review, shot toward the top of our rankings for the class of 2026.

If you have not heard about [player_tooltip player_id='402217' first='Jasiah' last='Brown'], make sure you know Prep Redzone heard about him first. The Morristown product is an uber-productive receiver in an option offense. At a Prep Redzone event he attended, Brown was timed running a 4.40 forty yard dash. Beyond that, the film shows that the Colonials' leading receiver is a hands catcher that has a quick, violent release. Partly due to their offense and partly due to his speed, Brown has the ability to lull defenses to sleep and explode past them should they get caught napping. He also has the hips to make somebody miss - both in space and when running his routes. Additionally, Brown will use his agility to spin and gain extra yardage. High pointing the ball is something he excels at, as well as running one speed, and that speed is fast.

A linebacker who is in prime position to climb the rankings after our next update is DePaul's [player_tooltip player_id='1099792' first='Logan' last='Monteyne']. Monteyne does a great job working rip moves to disengage blockers and also break free when pass rushing. When blitzing from space we can see a sudden burst through the line. Able to square up, Monteyne demonstrates that he has a little old school in him where he hits/wraps/drive extremely well. Equally as proficient as defending the pass he passes off routes seamlessly between his zone, while keeping an eye on on the quarterback throughout the pay. In the same breath, Monteyne moves his hips well when opening up and running, flipping them back when needed as well. Monteyne takes ideal pursuit angles to the sideline and makes great run reads, shooting gaps and penetrating through the line of scrimmage.

One of the better offensive linemen in his class, Depaul's [player_tooltip player_id='829435' first='Matthew' last='Alvarez'] is an aggressive offensive linemen who weaponizes the snap count. In doing so, he fires out low, especially when down blocking. Alvarez also has quick feet that allows him to handle speed rushers off the edge. The same quick feet allow him to dominate when reach blocking play side. As opponents try to hit an inside move, we see Alvarez burying them with a down block. Alvarez's hands tight are in pass protection. On double teams, Alvarez finishes his double teams before climbing to the next level.

Closing out is another standout non-public school linebacker in [player_tooltip player_id='1031712' first='Michael' last='Sclafani'] from Delbarton. Sclafani plays both high and low - matching the hand when he does not get home to the quarterback, while tackling low. In the short game Sclafani has shown that he can run with the slot receiver well. Able to read keys, Sclafani flows and rallies to the ball well. When pass rushing we see the junior deliver power at times. Quickness is a part of his game too, as Sclafani is used often - and is often successful - at getting home on interior gap exchanges.
