OT out of Centennial. Limited game experience due to injuries forcing him to sit out both his sophomore and junior season but has ideal measurements and frame with an 84 inch wingspan. He's a natural bender from his stance to engagement showing good flexibility in his hips, knees, and ankles. Elite explosive power in his hands and lower body demonstrating the ability to drive opponents off the LOS in the run game and finish them to the ground. Recruitment skyrocketed in the spring pulling seven D1 offers within 2 weeks of the Centennial Spring Showcase when colleges were able to get eyes on him.   7 Offers: San Diego State, Washington State, Montana State, Fresno State, Minnesota, Boise State     Akpa is an athletic 6'6” 260 lbs. with reach (84 inch wingspan) and growth potential in his frame to add weight. He's an aggressive blocker that accelerates through contact and is able to shock rushers with a powerful initial punch. Plus movement skills and quick feet allow him to gain depth on the snap in pass protection and work to the perimeter/second level with ease. Shows he can execute different blocking techniques and adjust to defensive stunts as the play is developing. Does a good job creating positional leverage at the POA by taking proper angles to his blocks. Difference maker on both sides of the ball but projects as a WR at the major D1 level where he can use his length and elite level ball skills. Attacks the ball in the air and is a strong hand catcher, leaping ability and extension makes him a great high point guy. High level body control and coordination to make acrobatic catches in traffic. Route running ability makes him a constant threat to defenses at all levels of this field. At 6'3” 240 lbs. he shows he can line up as an inline TE or split out into the slot. Good body control and strong hands, he's able to make tough contested receptions with defenders closing in. Good ability to box out defenders at the catch point to create a throwing lane. Great initial quickness and leverage off the LOS, he explodes at the contact point as a blocker to drive opponents off the ball. Runs well after the catch and his size/strength make him a tough tackle for second level defenders. Committed to Nevada in June over seven other D1 offers. A physical receiver that can use his size and strength to gain positional leverage and create a throwing lane. Shows he can smoothly track the deep ball into his hands and adjust based on trajectory. Competes for the ball at the catch point and demonstrates a good ability to make plays in traffic with defenders closing in. A tough tackle after the catch with his size and strength. Holds two D1 offers but has great upside and potential to pop throughout his senior season.
