When there is a game on a Thursday night with some of the best prospects in the state you knew Prep Redzone Illinois would be there. Belleville Althoff hosted Alton Marquette in a game that was moved up due to weather. It wasn't close from the beginning as Althoff had running clock in the first quarter when they led 42-0. They would add one more on in the second quarter then pull the starters to win 49-0. Here is our 10 Best: Belleville Althoff vs Alton Marquette!

RB [player_tooltip player_id='201724' first='Dierre' last='Hill'] Jr (Althoff – 2025 – Oregon)

The state's #2 overall prospect continued his spectacular senior campaign on Thursday night. He made it look so easy with 126 rushing yards on just 4 carries and 3 touchdowns. The running back is the complete package with his ability to follow his blocks, break tackles in the open field, and hit the gas when he needs to for the score. Also displayed his pass hands with one catch on a swing pass. Only played in the first half. He is the most electric football player in the state.

DE [player_tooltip player_id='258001' first='Jason' last='Dowell'] (Althoff – 2025 – Mizzou)

The Mizzou commit is a massive defensive end at 6'4” 288 pounds that plays with a ton of power and athleticism. He displayed that on one play when he got a sack by completely and utterly obliterating the right tackle before hitting the quarterback. Only played limited snaps, but you can see the burst off the edge getting to the signal caller along with how well he plays with leverage against the run. Continues to live up to top 10 ranking.

CB/WR [player_tooltip player_id='1292071' first='Charleston' last='Coldon'] (Althoff – 2025 – Boston College)

Coldon did a little bit of everything on Thursday night. On the offensive side he showed his fluidity catching a slant route for the first touchdown of the evening. Also was super impressed with how well he blocked downfield on runs from Hill leading to scores. He also returned a punt for a touchdown that was called back due to a penalty, but he definitely can contribute in the return game at the next level. On the defensive side of the ball is where we feel he will bring the biggest impact for BC. Smooth corner that is comfortable in press and off coverage. He had a pick 6 in this game making the interception and taking it the other way for a touchdown.

WR Kylin Jordan (Althoff – 2025)

The senior 6'0” wide out has become a legit #2 pass catcher for the Crusaders this season. He had an excellent catch on a deep go route where he adjusted to the ball and tracked it very well. Also scored on a quick route over the middle for a touchdown.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='214234' first='Jayden' last='Ellington'] (Althoff – 2027)

Ellington is one of the top sophomore quarterbacks in the state. He played within himself on Thursday night. Didn't force anything. Made quick reads and for the most part was very accurate on his passes playing a little over a quarter and a half. He is almost like a point guard out there distributing the rock. Wiry signal caller that has velocity on his throws, but can also put touch on the deep ball. Impressed how he followed through on play fakes and looked great in the RPO game. Dual threat QB is part of a loaded 2027 signal caller group!

LB [player_tooltip player_id='1292104' first='Cooper' last='Zimmer'] (Althoff – 2025)

Continue to be impressed with Zimmer each and every time out. He needs to be getting serious consideration at the Group of 5 level and is a no brainer at the FCS level. The 6'3” linebacker is always around the ball flowing to it with ease time after time making the tackle. Absolute tackling machine!

TE [player_tooltip player_id='1565530' first='Aaron' last='Powell'] (Althoff – 2025)

Powell is a projectable tight end at 6'3” 220 pounds that has a good frame and the upside to be an inline pass catcher for college. He caught a touchdown slipping to the edge on an RPO misdirection play that was beautifully executed.

OT Patton Leib and [player_tooltip player_id='1564824' first='Logan' last='Davis'] (Althoff – 2025)

The bookend offensive tackles for the Crusaders were impressive in this one again for the second time this season. They dominated up front both in pass protection keeping things clean for Ellington while mauling in the run for Hill Jr. Each have futures at the next level!

K Austin Wilkinson (Althoff – 2028)

Wilkinson is only a freshman, but he went 7 for 7 on extra points on the night showing a very strong leg making it well beyond the short distance. Also drives the ball on kick offs.
