Lambert's career with the Pacers started off with a bang against Edison where he rushed for 181 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns, in Grant's convincing 28-7 win over the Vikings on opening weekend. He is a big and physical back with natural forward lean/good pad level, excellent contact balance through traffic and has a strong initial burst through the first level while always falling forward to gain the tough yards. Kelley rushed for 100 yards and two scores on the ground, and added another two scores through the air receiving.
