<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The other day I put out a tweet letting all athletes in the state of Michigan know I am doing a film review series one more time before the season starts in just 3 weeks, and I received a ton of responses. Out of the backfield he is a solid runner who gets up field and doesn't dance. He has some ability to break some tackles for a little bit of extra yardage. Split outside, he has a couple nice highlights of him making good blocks that spring the runner for big yards. This is a kid I have watched closely at some 7V7 tournaments and showcases, and I have always liked his trajectory. He has some really good arm strength, and can drop it in a bucket from deep! I love his ability to get to the second level and create some big gaps for his runners. As for pass blocking, when he stays balanced and doesn't lunge, he is really able to anchor down and not budge a bit. I feel like he definitely thrives as a run blocker, but has a decent base with a good kickstep in the passing game. What I saw from him there is confirmed on film. He's a fluid mover who flips his hips with ease, and my favorite part about Zander is his technique and ability to contest EVERY throw his way. His Hudl is littered with PBU after PBU. He times his jumps great, and is very careful of playing the ball through the hands of the receiver to break it up. He made it out to a bunch of camps and was able to snag quite a few offers. I saw him most recently at the Central Michigan Big Man Camp, and I was impressed with his sound fundamentals, moved very well in his agility drills, and showed a lot of strength. In his Hudl from last season, it reaffirms what I saw at CMU, as he was as aggressive and strong as I remember, and showed off his mobility by getting out to the second level. RJ is really starting to turn heads so I am expecting a big final season from him! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
