Marcus Coleman | DB | Klein Cain | 2025

Coleman had his side of the field on lock while also showing his physicality tackling in the run game. He made every throw attempt a challenge and made them pay for mistakes made. He had two pick sixes on the night and helped solidify the strong Hurricane defense.

Jordan Johnson | LB | Atascocita | 2025

Johnson was involved in almost every stop vs. Lamar. He played extremely well, diagnosing plays and fitting into the run lanes. He scrapped over the top of messes at the line of scrimmage and located the ball in a hurry. Johnson showed quick movements and great tenacity in his play.

Zachary Taylor | DB | Katy Jordan | 2026

Taylor caused issues in the passing game for the Cougar offense. He strapped his opposition on deep routes and uses his long frame to disrupt any ball headed his direction. Taylor capped off his night with a 50-yard pick six in a dominant performance by the Warriors.

[player_tooltip player_id='431035' first='Chris' last='Minor'] | DT | Atascocita | 2025

Minor plugged up any and every run gap in the top 25 matchup against Lamar. He gave no ground and reset the line of scrimmage at times with his strength and effort. Minor moved very well and caused havoc in the interior which disrupted the Lamar offensive flow. He is a player to keep eyes on throughout the season.
