With just two weeks until kickoff in Week 0, teams are well into their preseason routines and even doing some season-opening game planning.

When it comes to these receivers, trust us when we tell you the opposing defenses already know they'll have their hands full. Along the Grand Strand & Pee Dee and down to the Lowcountry, these pass catchers are established weapons capable of taking anything they catch to the house.

Get your popcorn ready.

[player_tooltip player_id='464881' first='Jayden' last='Sellers'] South Florence

2023 Numbers: 17 receptions, 216 yards, 1 touchdown

What We Love: Even before Sellers was lost for the second half of the regular season and playoffs with a torn ACL, he displayed a new skill set. With 27 carries, he put up 295 yards and six touchdowns. We haven't seen the last of that for his high school career, either.

[player_tooltip player_id='272701' first='John' last='Simmons'] Myrtle Beach

2023 Numbers: 20 receptions, 538 yards, 10 touchdowns

What We Love: The Seahawks' offense sputtered early under a first-time starting quarterback, went run-heavy there for a bit and then circled back to the original plan late. And while it took longer than expected, Simmons started to show how good he could be.

[player_tooltip player_id='413888' first='Josh' last='Brown'] Socastee

2023 Numbers: 48 receptions, 672 yards, 3 touchdowns

What We Love: Brown is one of the more under-recruited 2025 receivers in the state. Because while the Braves have had more struggles than success of late, Brown has been consistently reliable as an outside receiver. He's had his share of awe-inspiring moments the last two years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1271463' first='Justin' last='Purvis'] Marlboro County

2023 Numbers: 1,051 all-purpose yards, six touchdowns (receiving numbers unavailable)

What We Love: For much of the last two years, opponents would pin point Purvis. That isn't going to happen as much now that Marlboro County has seen a bunch of top-shelf additions from North Carolina. Purvis will be surrounded by weapons, which will open up even more doors.

[player_tooltip player_id='1158021' first='Kevin' last='Boone'] Berkeley

2023 Numbers: 43 receptions, 797 yards, 12 touchdowns

What We Love: Like Purvis, Boone is a burner who's been clocked at north of 22 miles per hour in a Catapult vest. He's verbally committed to Charleston Southern and on a short list for selection for top-two all-star honors. Even without that, 2024 is shaping up to be his playground.

[player_tooltip player_id='683478' first='Kayden' last='Bash'] Berkeley

2023 Numbers: 45 receptions, 756 yards, 5 touchdowns

What We Love: Bash is a fun football watch. At last check, he was verified at all of 5-foot-9 and a sneeze less than 140 pounds. Yet, you watch him play and you'd swear he's got super glue on his hands. Boone and Bash play off each other day after day, and they're also driving each other to new heights.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253894' first='Zoom' last='Jackson'] Lamar

2023 Numbers: 20 receptions, 448 yards, 9 touchdowns

What We Love: Jackson's receiving numbers alone aren't superb. But factor in that he plays some tailback and is the team's reserve quarterback (he had to take over there for a couple games last year) and you see why he's so vital to the Silver Foxes' plans.

[player_tooltip player_id='929482' first='Kaden' last='Gore'] North Myrtle Beach

2023 Numbers: 41 receptions, 601 yards, 8 touchdowns

What We Love: A year from now, Gore is going to be getting ready for his freshman season in college. And while where exactly the 5-foot-7, 150-pounder will end up remains to be seen, he's got some good options after yet another strong offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='809757' first='Will' last='Viriglio'] Oceanside Collegiate

2023 Numbers: 53 receptions, 933 yards, 4 touchdowns

What We Love: Until the playoffs, Oceanside was a run-first offense. Then, the starting quarterback went down and the understudy forced the Landsharks to adapt. Virgilio took off, too. He'll enter this season with a healthy comfort level with Aidan Manavian and the honor of being his top target.

[player_tooltip player_id='1254034' first='Romaine' last='Grant'] Baptist Hill

2023 Numbers: 53 receptions, 1,058 yards, 13 touchdowns

What We Love: Grant doesn't come off the field often. He doubles up and plays defense, where he had 51 tackles last. Fall. He also returns the occasion kickoff and punt. He's also the go-to option for the team's two-point conversions (they go for a bunch of them).

[player_tooltip player_id='1025782' first='Jordan' last='Jenkins'] Conway

2023 Numbers: 33 receptions, 415 yards, 5 touchdowns

What We Love: While he's got two years left to decide, the only thing seemingly stopping Jenkins from playing college football is some college hoops program snagging him. Jenkins is a budding top-flight receiver who has the physical tools coaches in either sport would love to have at their disposal.

[player_tooltip player_id='402486' first='Carnell' last='Warren'] Bluffton

2023 Numbers: 53 receptions, 723 yards, 9 touchdowns

What We Love: For everything Warren did as a sophomore, it's hard to ignore that he was also not the Bobcats' top receiver. Now, he is. Warren hitting quadruple digits in receiving yards almost feels like a foregone conclusion in Bluffton's pass-first, pass-second scheme.

UP NEXT?

[player_tooltip player_id='1036774' first='Amare' last='Patterson'] Beaufort

2023 Numbers: 14 receptions, 282 yards, 1 touchdowns

What We Love: Patterson is only a sophomore, but he's got one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the state throwing him the ball and a commitment to more passing this fall. Patterson has a monster catch radius for someone standing just under 6-feet tall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1267320' first='Jon' last='Kelly'] Myrtle Beach

2023 Numbers: 9 receptions, 140 yards, 2 touchdowns

What We Love: Kelly is part of a stacked receiving corps (see: above). Keeping all the receivers happy won't always be easy. But he moves well for a big guy and can slid into more of a tight end-type role, Myrtle Beach style, of course.

[player_tooltip player_id='1036782' first='Jagger' last='Spivey'] Ashley Ridge

2023 Numbers: 22 receptions, 281 yards, 2 touchdowns

What We Love: Last year, everyone sort of stood around and watched the Derrick Salley show. This time around, spreading the ball to a bunch of receivers is the game plan. Spivey will get two or three times as many looks and has the capability to make them count.
