There will be an update on the class of 2026 published next week. Readers can expect a ton of content before the season starts on September 5 and 6.

Here is a report on the highest-ranked debuting prospects from Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='1380100' first='Martel' last='Jackson'], DB, 6'2”, 175, Derby (Kansas State)

Jackson debuts in the No. 18 position after verbally committing to Kansas State University. Jackson is a speedy corner who also uses his speed on the track. He is being recruited as a defensive back, but he has the speed to be an early factor on special teams and could move to wideout or safety. For right now, Jackson and the rest of the Panthers will be looking to make a run at the Class 6A state title.

[player_tooltip player_id='1398050' first='Isaiah' last='Williams'], DL, 6'5”, 280, Gardner-Edgerton

Williams debuts in the ranking at No. 86. I am not sure how I missed him previously. but the run-stopping space-eater for the Trailblazers is now in the Top 100. Williams finished with 50 tackles for the Class 6A state champion Trailblazers as a junior. He is strong and uses solid technique to defeat double-teams. Gardner's defense returns just two starters, so he might have to face a lot of double teams as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1351468' first='Maddix' last='Davis'], OL, 6'7”, 285, Piper

The Piper Pirates have a hulk on the offensive line. Davis debuts in the No. 150 slot after receiving multiple college offers. Peru State, Minnesota State, and Graceland to name a few. Davis is a two-sport prospect who lives in the paint on the basketball court. His footwork is impressive and his highlights prove he is not afraid of crushing a few pancakes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1334224' first='Dorian' last='Coleman'], OL, 6'2”, 275, Junction City

Minnesota North College and Bethany College have each made offers to the athlete debuting in the No. 151 position. Coleman is strong and will be a key anchor on Randall Zimmerman's talented defensive unit. He gets off the ball and delivers a solid first punch. He has the speed to get to the second blocking level and understands to keep his hands inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1364957' first='Ben' last='McDavid'], OL, 6'2”, 205, Blue Valley West

McDavid debuts No. 152 in the Kansas Class of 2025 rankings. He has college offers from Friends and Simpson College (IA). He can play inside as a nose or move outside and rush the passer. He has a quick first step and good timing. I am sure if he was a little bulkier and taller he would be getting looks by Division II programs.
