Unfortunately they're playoff run came to an end in a hard fought contest against Westfield in the Region D Semi-Finals. Longtime Head Coach Bruce Hanson is just four wins away from 300 which you can tell is not his main focus. Morgan is 6'2 and 185 lbs. the mobile quarterback is very accurate and several colleges have taken notice. Owens is 6'5, 220 lbs. and still growing, the young man is in for a breakout junior season. He is an old school tight end, who can catch and block with the best of them, he really takes pride in his blocking. Luca is a playmaker with the ball in his hands, shows great speed and athleticism on each reception. He picked up right where he left off in 2023 with a nice performance in the Patriots scrimmage against Stone Bridge. Starting as a sophomore he has speed and a good back pedal, the makings of an all conference selection this fall. What stood out to the most about Rucker was his work on special teams, you can tell he takes that part of his game very seriously. Anchoring the Patriots offensive line, when you see him pulling look out as the big man can flat out move. He has one offer from Saint Anselm which would fit him well, but Vroom should get more love from schools soon. Troiano is 6'4 and 225 lbs., he too is involved in the passing game for the Patriots. Yorktown quite possibly may have two FCS level tight ends on their roster as Troaino was second team all district (as a defensive end) a year ago.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What he may make his money at the next level though is at defensive end, where he exceeds in many phases of the defensive game. He is 6'2 and flies off the snap and has a bevy of pass rushing moves that will suit him well at the next level.
