Now measuring at 6'2, 175 pounds. Plymouth Whitemarsh will bring back their 2023 starter at quarterback. A program is already in good favor if they can bring back the huddle play-caller for consecutive years, PW will do just that. [player_tooltip player_id='1278705' first='Caiden' last='Leszczynski'], ranked as the 30th-best senior quarterback in the state, won seven of his eight starts last Fall. Averaged just under 2 scores in those eight starts, a player behind center that can hurt a defense with his arm and legs. Good size. Currently unoffered. Confident decision-maker, Plymouth Whitemarsh will go as far as Leszczynski takes them.

2nd-Team All-League prospect. Ranked as a top 400 incoming senior. Is the offensive weapon at Plymouth Whitemarsh's disposal that can be deployed at pretty much any alignment. There isn't a route or area of the field that cannot be attacked thanks to [player_tooltip player_id='1279566' first='Everett' last='Baker']'s all-around game. Tougher to bring down than his build suggests. Experienced special teams return man. Expect to see Baker moving pre-snap, a ton of successful sets ran by PW last Fall came after moving Baker before the snap of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1279566' first='Everett' last='Baker'] will bring the flash, [player_tooltip player_id='1278710' first='Marcus' last='Laffredo'] will bring the consistency. Consistent hands, consistently in the right place at the right time, a reliable set of hands that Leszcynski can throw too if primary reads aren't always available. A leaker that often flows away from the football, Laffredo is often seen getting behind the secondary after great fakes or play-action sets near the LOS. Good down-the-field strider. Witnessed catching highly contested balls while running outs, slants, and hitches. Currently unoffered. Quite the one-two punch deployed by PW, the tandem bringing two drastic style of play together, forcing defenses to honor both an explosive and methodical approach.

2nd-team All-area lineman, looking to be honored as a 1st-team OL after this Fall. On pace to do just that. [player_tooltip player_id='1295443' first='Jared' last='Thomas-Payne'], a 6'5, 300-pound mammoth of a man, is the first trench piece mentioned in this preview. You can begin to see how heavily relied on this class of 2025 has and will be. The fourth senior mentioned in this list, JTP will likely contribute in both sides of the ball out of necessity. Can double as a right or left tackle in this offense, yet his experience protecting the passer and kick-sliding makes him an obvious choice to protect Leszcynski's blindside. Great assignment locater but an even better finisher of reps. Thomas-Paynes' initial punch could become more devastating, yet the senior tackle does a good job continuously hand-fighting to knock defenders off balance post first punch, often leaving defenders flattened by the time the whistle blows. Likely a D2 tackle.

Ranked, albeit given a mid-D3 grade, [player_tooltip player_id='1278703' first='Max' last='Vizza'] will station at center for the Colonials, possibly providing position versatility at guard as well. Up 15 pounds from his junior playing weight. Upper body strikes well, good hand placement, good hat placement as well, just wish his lower body moved with his upper at a better clip. Is a solid kick-out blocker, can steer away his matchup away from the flow of the football. Is a bit handsy, many blocks he gets away with at this level would be called holds at the next. An experienced piece of the PW unit that should help the Colonials to more victories.

Small in stature, maybe a D3 would like Morffiah's skills if a hole at IDL opens up, but Morffiah is undersized when projecting his measurables to the next level. That being said, the kid can stand up incoming defenders thanks to his lower center of gravity, strong lower body, and stout legs. Leverage use is key for an undersized lineman, winning without leverage is damn near impossible at times. Morffiah's tape proves he can hold his own in the trenches. A pile driver, an upfield mover, Morffiah is a senior you can count on to drive his legs to the whistle and not miss an assignment. His experience will be valued.

Recently given a high-to-mid Division Two grade, I was clearly a bit lower on Plymouth Whitemarsh's [player_tooltip player_id='1278702' first='Jadon' last='Joseph'] than others recruiting the area. On July 27th, Joseph announced he had received a scholarship offer from Long Island University, the FCS stamp approval proving he's a bit better than I had imagined. 6'1, 240 pounds, can play with his hand in the dirt and attack any gap. Not necessarily the fastest or the strongest off the edge, Joseph is a bit of a tweener who can be a lot more productive than many might expect when kicked inside. How Joseph's weight fluctuates will decide a number of things, his future position being the most important. Grown man strength, can beat opposing OL with grip strength and steering alone, can shed with pure force on tape. Joseph might not rank as the highest-graded Colonial, he's certainly the most-recruited one thus far in the process.

A 2024 breakout candidate in my eyes. I can't pinpoint the young man's ceiling, nor will I try, yet I imagine [player_tooltip player_id='1282818' first='Amir' last='Butler'] is going to turn some heads this coming Fall. His physique alone should draw eyes, especially if he's stationed opposite [player_tooltip player_id='1278702' first='Jadon' last='Joseph'], quite the tandem the two might become, Plymouth Whitemarsh would reap the rewards in the form of sacks and TFLs. Butler's still going to have to cash in on the hype. Butler doesn't have tape, so ranking him among his peers prior to the season beginning was tough to do. I believe OLB reps are a given, I wonder if PW will flirt with the idea of Butler getting TE reps on offense. Can he catch the football? Can he block? Figuring out the answers to these questions might boost/elevate Butler's stock in the future. For now, he's got to put quality reps on tape for coaches to see.

Undersized, unsure if Moyett will see the field much again. 50 seconds worth of tape on defense, one minutes worth of offensive reps. We'll see what is churned out by Moyett this coming Fall.
The second highest-ranking Colonial on our database starts at MIKE backer for Plymouth Whitemarsh. [player_tooltip player_id='598733' first='Kevin' last='Hegarty'], who put on five pounds this offseason according to Hudl, looks to man the second level behind Butler and Joseph. A bit surprised Hegarty is still currently unoffered, the 1st-Team All-Area backer makes PW's front-seven one of the more formidable fronts to move the ball against, particularly to run against. A little bit old school in terms of role. Hegarty sees the football, runs, and makes a play. There isn't a ton of disguising going on, there isn't a ton of lateral drops into passing zones. Hegarty sees and reacts with conviction, whether he's right or wrong on the gap run, Hegarty is going to chase like his head is on fire and rev to the ball carrier. A backer who hits you with all he's got, has a knack for landing big hits even if he engages without a base or off-balanced. I think Hegarty would be a nice addition to a PSAC out East, he's going to have to add a good 10/15 pounds of muscle.

Not sure if it's good enough to land on our ranks, but certainly a player worthy of working beside Hegarty manning the middle. Small in stature. Unoffered currently. Hegarty likes to flash lateral prowess, sniffing out runs hash-to-hash. Iannozzi has more north and south to his game. Iannozzi can drop into coverage deep downfield and makes plays, he can also be tasked with blitzing B or C gaps as if he was shot out of a cannon. Good piece to work with if I was the PW DC.

I'm willing to say Plymouth Whitemarsh's [player_tooltip player_id='1227263' first='Chase' last='Smith'] is one of the more underrated defensive backs this PA senior class has to offer. If any Colonial were to see last-minute love from FCS schools, it should/would be [player_tooltip player_id='1227263' first='Chase' last='Smith']. 6'1, 170 pounds, a lock for PSACs out East, this being my opinion. Plays a lot of butt-to-the-sideline. Some coaches hate the the tech, some live by it, [player_tooltip player_id='1227263' first='Chase' last='Smith'] is a DB that thrives with his eyes in the backfield. Aware and alert, Smith can key passing concepts on the fly and gamble away from his assignment to disrupt or intercept passes. A confident player who has benefitted from a risky gameplay style. Is man enough to be a force coming downhill and cleaning up his flat zone. Can certainly key outside zone runs and seal off edges in run support. Breaks down in open space really well, best trait. Can handle beefier bodies and get low to tackle. Can set the tone and deliver energy boosting blows to smaller players. Can still tackle against speed. I'm a fan, likely would be a bigger name at a different school. I'll stand on my FCS grade. Great player behind a great front seven.
