Chantz Bouknight showed out in a big way in East Paulding's notable victory against North Paulding. Bouknight is your traditional "good athlete" playing QB situation. He was efficient and made plays in the air, but his work as a runner caught my eye the most. Bouknight's speed allowed him to take advantage of running lanes and run around the defense, but his change of direction is easily the most impressive part of his game. He can dodge pressure with ease and breaks down defenders in the open field with his sudden, yet explosive footwork. Bouknight is a senior sleeper, but he is a D1-caliber athlete who is already turning heads this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='806122' first='Hunter' last='Campbell'] has improved every year on varsity, and it seems like his development is really starting to turn a corner as a senior. Campbell is a big, athletic 6'3 200 who can make plays on the move and hurt defenses with his legs when needed. He has easy arm strength, slinging the ball around the field with just the flick of his wrist. If he stepped into the ball, he could easily bomb it behind safeties and sometimes does it anyway when off-platform. His fluid arm action paired with his arm strength gives him access to almost any throw on the field. Each part of his game is starting to take a step forward, and he would be an intriguing QB addition for some D1 programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='661460' first='Caleb' last='Hill'] was incredibly efficient in a win against McIntosh, completing 14 of 18 passes for 300 yards and 5 TDs. Hill has been creeping onto the radar for a few years now, and it seems like this fall will be his breakout season. Hill is listed at 6'0 180 with a solid muscle mass. He plays with excellent pocket mechanics and tight throwing mechanics. He gets the ball out quickly, allowing his receivers to run in space. He puts good spin on the ball, allowing him to tightrope it to the flat and attack the middle of the field. However, he has shown that he is capable of stepping up and lofting the ball with some air under it. I expect Hill to put up big-time numbers this year, especially with the weapons at his disposal.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552042' first='Kendall' last='Sims'] is the top playmaker for Schley County, and he has shown it in two weeks on offense, defense, and special teams. He has solid straight-line speed, but his ability to weave in and out of running lanes to evade defenders is impressive. He can stop and subtly change directions on a dime. Sims is best after the catch, but he absolutely has the footwork needed to make some space as a route runner. He can make plays at all levels as a receiver, but his impact as a returner could help him find the field early should a college program take a chance on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201813' first='Jared' last='Anthony'] is an absolute striker from the second level, and he was all over the field for Stockbridge in week 2. Anthony is a stout, explosive, muscular LB prospect, and he uses his power to his advantage by striking with good pad level and plenty of pop. He is a downhill player, possessing the mean streak needed to hold his own in the gaps and battle with blockers. However, he exhibits some underrated pre-snap skills and good lateral patience. He is a tackling machine and is one of the more explosive LB prospects you can find in the state. He is a D1-caliber LB.

It was an impressive night all the way around for Swinton, coming away with 2 INTs and then flipping around and making some plays as a returner. Swinton is a featherweight 5'11 160. He has plenty of room to add weight. He is a long strider and has some serious speed, which is what allows him to stick with WRs down the field and get himself in position to go up and make a play on the football. On both sides of the ball, he flashed impressive ball-tracking skills through traffic. Pair his ball skills with speed indicators and physical upside, and you have yourself another senior sleeper falling under the radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='1555762' first='Brooks' last='Brien'] has led Cherokee Bluff to two impressive wins to kick off the 2024 season. He really showed out in week 2 against Apalachee, firing 5 TDs. Brien plays with solid mechanics and has some athletic indicators. He has a basketball background and flashes the speed and athleticism needed to evade pressure and keep plays alive. He hasn't produced a whole lot as a runner in his career, but some athletic traits are evident on tape. He has good mechanics and does a food job of layering his throws. Even when on the move, he looks to have enough touch to drop the ball over the head of LBs. Brien is an experienced senior with a multi-sport background and it looks like his senior year will be his best.
