The Wildcats signal caller had a calm, poised demeanor about himself throughout the entire game that resonated with his teammates. Whenever the Wildcats needed something to happen, Marable took care of that with either his arm and his legs. He did a good job of spreading the ball around to his playmakers while also taking care of the ball with no turnovers. This was an outstanding showing by Marable and more like it will certainly boost his college stock but put him squarely in the running for Mr. Football.

- - - - -

Three Stars

It took a minute for Hayes to show up in this contest but when he did, his presence was certainly known. Playing both ways for his Wildcats team, Hayes, Jr had a stellar opening game as Marable's go-to guy where he produced 7 rec. for 157 yards and 2 touchdown's on the night. Ranked as a top ten wideout by #PRZTN, this Mid-Tennessee playmaker has yet to find his college home but continued performances like this will not only boost his stock but put bigger schools on his radar.

- - - - -

BGA won the game and others gained top accolades for this contest but Young, Jr was “the best” overall player on the field Friday evening. Near unstoppable with the ball in his hands, anytime this junior playmaker was involved in the game, the Spartans succeeded. Young, Jr produced two receiving touchdowns on offense while on defense, the future Clemson Tiger did a good job of locking down his side of the field. This East TN product proved Friday night why everybody in college football was and still is in pursuit.

- - - - -

Friday night was a coming out party for this junior defender, who proved to me that he is one of the best inside linebacker prospects for our #TN2026 recruiting class. Aggressive and fast to the ball, Fernandez was hard to block due to his physicality and quickness. The Wildcats junior backer showed the ability to not only play stout versus the run but also the skill set to rush the backfield. He ended the night with 6.5 total tackles but his presence was felt bigger than his production. Expect to hear more and more about this junior prospect going forward.

- - - - -

Helmet Stickers

(S) [player_tooltip player_id='1269174' first='Hal' last='Niendorff'] - Knox. Webb: Handling several roles for his Spartans team, Niendorff proved to be a legit college guy Friday night. He scored 2 rushing TD's on the evening while also batting down several passes and playing good coverage in the secondary.

‘26 (RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1405419' first='Ethan' last='Kellum'] - BGA: Making his debut for BGA, Kellum had an impressive showing by rushing for 84 yards on 10 carries and producing 2 touchdowns. This guy is physically well built along with a nice initial burst and open field speed.

https://twitter.com/Ethankellum11/status/1827444088913998093

‘26 (RB/LB) Baxter Johnson - Knox. Webb: Johnson was a pleasant surprise in this contest as a two-way backer that did a lot of his damage running the ball. The Wildcats defense had a hard time slowing this big back down due to his physicality and deceptive speed.

(S) [player_tooltip player_id='1405428' first='Kian' last='Iverson'] - BGA: Iverson played like his hair was on fire all night where he ended producing several tackles on the evening along with one interception. The Cats is an under the radar guy I need to look further into as Iverson brings good athleticism and size to the field.

‘26 (WR/NB) [player_tooltip player_id='402543' first='Gregory' last='Tate'], Jr - Knox. Webb: Buzz started building about Tate this summer and showed why against the Wildcats. The Spartans junior athlete was used in a variety of ways, using his speed to become a game changer. He didn't produce points but Tate was a key player on both offense and special teams.

‘26 (DL) [player_tooltip player_id='866788' first='Nate' last='Fleming'] - BGA: Going both ways in the trenches, Fleming was a key force up front for BGA that helped set the line of scrimmage. He did good work opening running holes on offense while producing 2 tackles, 1 TFL and 1 sack on defense.

‘26 (LB) [player_tooltip player_id='1206233' first='Jack' last='Gregg'] - BGA: Gregg was an active competitor throughout the entire game, making tackles from sideline to sideline while also being vocal and showing leadership. A true middle backer, Gregg showed good range and speed along with some violent hits.

‘27 (DE/LB) [player_tooltip player_id='902961' first='Jayden' last='Cannon'] - BGA: Get to know about Cannon as he appears to be a guy that could become a recruitable prospect down the road as an edge linebacker. He had an impressive opening performance where he displayed good bend and burst off the edge along with a highly active motor.

https://twitter.com/_JaydenCannon1/status/1827457839193059703
