Prep Redzone Louisiana will release its latest 2027 rankings this week, continuing its class-by-class updates process as the upcoming season approaches.

Leading up to the complete, 100-player list of rising seniors on Thursday afternoon, we will count down the top 30 in more detail.

And make sure to check back following the release for additional features and notes, including looks at debuts, stock-risers and top remaining uncommitted prospects.

No. 10 [player_tooltip player_id='469475' first='Jaylan' last='Ash'] — 6-0, 145 WR — Archbishop Rummel

The long-limbed route-runner and pass-catcher kicks off the top 10 with not only his athleticism, but notable skillset early in his development. Ash possesses good speed, leaping ability and catch radius and shows a nice feel and attention to detail in his route running to create consistent separation at every level and make catches in stride or even acrobatic fashion.

No. 9 [player_tooltip player_id='592357' first='Sky' last='Ryan'] — 6-0, 175 DB — Lafayette Christian

The Knights' young corner possesses some of the same length, speed and ball skills that initially put older brother Sage on the radar as one of Louisiana's top prospects in the 2021 class. And in addition to his athleticism, Sky uses his hands well at the line and plays with good patience and timing in his coverage to stay in phase and make late deflections — or interceptions — of tests his way.

No. 8 [player_tooltip player_id='1250280' first='Ryan' last='Moore Jr.'] — 5-11, 160 ATH — East Feliciana

The Tigers' young standout is already a human highlight-reel in all three phases with his impressive all-around athleticism with quickness, long speed, leap, body control and ball skills to find the end zone from anywhere on the field as a return man, receiver downfield or getting the ball in his hands near or behind the line of scrimmage. And even playing against opponents two and three years older, Moore didn't shy away from competition, physicality or big moments.

No. 7 [player_tooltip player_id='465282' first='Malachi' last='Zeigler'] — 6-3, 200 QB — Benton

A notable push forward a few spots for the Tigers' budding star, as Zeigler has continued to showcase the consistent accuracy and confidence in settings around the country to go with the big frame, strong arm and all-around athleticism that earned him a high debut at No. 11 early this year. He has clearly pushed his way into the mix with the two peers in-state who have garnered the bulk of the headlines early in Louisiana's loaded quarterback class.

No. 6 [player_tooltip player_id='739720' first='Jayden' last='Miles'] — 6-2, 205 RB — Catholic (Baton Rouge)

Easily the biggest riser in this round of Prep Redzone Louisiana rankings updates for the 2027 class, Miles was already an intriguing top-40 prospect on this list early this year after limited action or footage as a freshman, but clearly in the first two days of spring practice fit every bit of the bill of one of the top young running backs in the state and top prospects overall in the 2027 class.

No. 5 [player_tooltip player_id='1137410' first='Morris' last='Walters'] — 6-1, 180 WR — Jeanerette

Walters maintains the distinction as the highest-ranked "receiver," although he and the two athletes ahead are all potentially versatile players and prospects with their combinations of tall, strong builds, athletic traits, physicality and ball skills. The Tigers' young standout was the most productive of the bunch as a freshman with 41 catches for 602 yards — nearly 15 per catch — and seven touchdowns and should be an even bigger focal point for the offense as the team replaces graduated 2024 leaders.

No. 4 [player_tooltip player_id='1257121' first='Ahmad' last='Hudson'] — 6-7, 225 ATH — Ruston

The high-level two-sport prospect showed flashes of big-play pass-catching during his freshman football season, but looked further in his development and feel on the basketball court this winter and spring. Fast-forward to late June, and Hudson was particularly impressive in his performance at LSU's "Friday Night Lights" event with his consistency, even in a highly competitive setting with notable talent from around the country. His fluidity and ball skills as a hyper-athletic tight end or huge wide receiver make some early Trey'Dez Green comparisons feel apt.

No. 3 [player_tooltip player_id='934555' first='Braylon' last='Calais'] — 6-3, 185 ATH — Cecilia

The first rounds of offers have already started to roll in for the big two-way athlete for the Bulldogs. Calais showed his highlight-reel receiving skillset throughout the offseason with his size, vertical speed, leap and ball skills and body control in the air on the 7-on-7 camp circuit. But the rising sophomore is also notably comfortable and confident in playing physically on the other side of the ball.

No. 2 [player_tooltip player_id='642719' first='Elijah' last='Haven'] — 6-4, 190 QB — Dunham

One of the two quarterbacks mentioned above as the early headliners of Louisiana's 2027 class, Haven has the tallest frame of the bunch, notable multisport athleticism and a strong arm to make big throws from the pocket or on the move. While still early in his development, the Tigers' star showed impressive poise and efficiency in his first year starting at the varsity level, including his nearly 70% completion rate.

No. 1 [player_tooltip player_id='1250887' first='Peyton' last='Houston'] — 6-0, 185 QB — Evangel Christian

The most polished player in an absolutely loaded Louisiana class of quarterbacks, "Pop" will make his much-anticipated debut as a varsity starter this fall, but has already impressed college coaches, media and peers from coast to coast with every 7-on-7, camp and training opportunity for multiple years now with his arm talent, feel for the game, athleticism and poise.
