Archbishop Rummel and University Lab brought their typically defensive-highlighted slugfest of a matchup to Caesars Superdome this year.

But the Raiders were able to take control on the ground as the second half wore on and pull away for a 30-17 win, marking the most points scored by either team in any of their six meetings during the past decade.

Here's a look at several of the eye-catchers from the contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610133' first='Coryan' last='Hawkins'] — 5-9, 190 RB — Archbishop Rummel (2027)

and Jaden Terrance — 5-9, 160 RB — Archbishop Rummel (2027)

The junior running back duo helped provide the Raiders the scoring spark they needed to open up the game from Terrance's 97-yard kickoff return just before half to the duo racking up more than 230 combined rushing yards including a couple Hawkins-heavy touchdown drives late — one of which he carried into the end zone, and another of which he set up a play-action look for a passing score.

Jewlz Barthelemy — 6-3, 280 OL — Archbishop Rummel (2026)

and [player_tooltip player_id='283984' first='Jaden' last='Dillon'] — 6-1 270 OL — Archbishop Rummel (2026)

and [player_tooltip player_id='1542331' first='Armando' last='Reyes'] — 5-10, 250 OL — Archbishop Rummel (2026)

and [player_tooltip player_id='1802121' first='Raymond' last='Hughes'] — 6-5, 335 OL — Archbishop Rummel (2028)

and Michael Smith — 6-1, 250 OL — Archbishop Rummel (2028)

The Raiders' offensive line was solid throughout, but particularly took over the game as the second half continued bulldozing their way upfield for big gains on the ground

Ja'Marcus Jones — 6-2, 210 TE — Archbishop Rummel (2028)

The big sophomore tight end was a good sixth blocker alongside the offensive line throughout the contest, then got free on a play-action look for a red zone touchdown that helped put the game away.

[player_tooltip player_id='401942' first='Carlin' last='Kinchen Jr.'] — 5-9, 175 LB — Archbishop Rummel (2026)

Kinchen was one of a crew of upperclassmen in the Raiders' front seven who did a nice job containing U-High's rushing attack and taking advantage of some ball-security issues to help force a couple fumbles loose, including one of which he scooped up for a recovery early in the third.

[player_tooltip player_id='212343' first='Lamar' last='Brown'] — 6-4, 295 DL/ATH — University Lab (2026)

and [player_tooltip player_id='1594309' first='Maison' last='Smith'] — 6-3, 275 DL/OL — University Lab (2027)

The Cubs' highly ranked two-way duo stood out one both sides for the ball — particularly in the first half — with their blocking up front on offense and push they were able to generate for stops and pressures behind or near the line of scrimmage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581315' first='Lawson' last='Dixon'] — 5-11, 185 WR/ATH — University Lab (2026)

The recent Southeastern Louisiana commit put on a show with 12 catches for 121 yards and both Cubs touchdowns: a red zone play for a go-ahead score shortly before half and a longer shot late as he got free over the back end of the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1603238' first='Lane' last='Mixon'] — 6-0, 195 LB — University Lab (2026)

The Cubs' leading tackler from a year ago looked that part once again, flying around the box for one stop after another and pursuing well out to the sideline.
