Running Back is obviously one of the most important positions in football. It also happens to be one of my favorite positions to watch. The Class of 2028 has quite a few very high-upside running backs who have been putting in a TON of work before their first high school snap. These five running backs are all on the Watch List right now, but they have serious potential to be top-50 players in Michigan by the time they're full-time Varsity starters.

I don't know a whole lot about Dominyc, but based off what I've seen, he's on track to become an awesome running back.

Dominyc's twitter shows a ton of the work he's been putting in. Receiving private training, Dominyc already shows very promising footwork and overall great athleticism for his age. Just go to his Twitter and watch all of the (long) training clips that he has. Already well-built and well-drilled, I'm VERY interested in seeing how Dominyc fares on the football field (I haven't watched any actual tape of his)

This is a rare prospect that I will 100% watch any tape of, even if it's JV. Although Dominyc is on the Watch List right now, he'll almost certainly be ranked in the future.

I know VERY little of Jacob, but everything points toward Jacob being a very hard worker who will eventually get his time to shine on Varsity. While I'm not sure if it will be this year, I'm confident that Jacob will earn a Varsity role during his Sophomore season.

Jacob's twitter shows a few clips of him doing cone drills on his own time. If he's solely training on his own, then I'm impressed with his current athleticism. Now, I am basing this off of just a few seconds, but still, I trust that he'll be developed very well at St. Francis. This is very much a "wait and see" prospect, but I'm confident that Jacob will put up solid Freshman tape at the end of this fall season.

There's a great chance that Julian will produce on the Varsity level sooner rather than later. Last season, Julian had an excellent season with Southfield's youth team. He's advertised as a phenomenal power back who knows how to fight for extra yards- which is PERFECT for the Cass Tech scheme. Between the tackles, Julian is able to fight for those tough yards. Outside of the tackles, Julian sports surprisingly good athleticism and possesses a mean stiff-arm and solid stutter-step. There is a solid chance that Julian contributes on varsity this season. No matter the case, I am VERY excited to watch Julian's 2024 highlight tape!

Check out [player_tooltip player_id='1398345' first='Kenneth' last='Selmon Jr']'s highlight tape below, and you'll see why he's on the 2028 Watch List. In middle school, it's apparent that Kenneth was a dominant force who was far and above many of his counterparts. On tape, I especially like Kenneth's tenacity. You NEED to gang tackle him, and he did a great job at keeping his feet moving throughout each carry. Now, Kenneth was an absolute giant at the middle school level, but he'll be considered slightly undersized at the High School varsity level (as of right now). Now in High School, I expect Kenneth to continually work on his power and athleticism. He should be a great Varsity back soon, and I'm excited to see which high school he attends!

Last but not least, we have [player_tooltip player_id='1398380' first='Austyn' last='Hocter']. Right off the bat, you'll see that Austyn has great straight-line speed and was a truly phenomenal Middle School Running Back. There are countless highlights where Austyn finds a hole and immediately explodes upfield for a touchdown. Now, these highlights lack variety, and I'd be very interested in seeing how physical and athletic he is outside of these highlights. I absolutely love Austyn's frame and I love his upside. As long as Austyn is able to spend plenty of time in the weight room, he'll develop into a great varsity running back.
