Bearden Beats Knoxville West in Triple Overtime

Bearden came out of the gate swinging with a defensive touchdown on the first play of the game when [player_tooltip player_id='1104939' first='Ethan' last='Couvertiere'] recovered a fumble. After another turnover by the Rebels offense, the Bulldogs kicked back-to-back field goals to take a 13-0 lead. However, momentum started shifting in the 2nd quarter with 2 touchdowns from West running back Anterius Mcalister. Bearden fired back in the 4th quarter with a [player_tooltip player_id='806042' first='Jayzon' last='Thompson'] touchdown followed by a 2-point conversion catch by [player_tooltip player_id='800750' first='Drew' last='Parrott']. After many mistakes and turnovers by both sides it seemed like both teams were trying to throw the game away. Nevertheless, [player_tooltip player_id='1393973' first='Tavion' last='Ray'] made up for his mistake with an impressive touchdown run to tie the game up and send it to overtime. Chaos ensued with many mistakes including a fumbled snap on a field goal winning attempt.
