The first watch list for Louisiana's promising 2028 class dropped this past week, including several young standouts already referenced in previous Prep Redzone Louisiana articles during the course of the past year.

And, as the group's freshman season kicks off, here are notes on another six prospects to know sooner than later.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165578' first='Sevin' last='Domingue'] — 5-8, 160 RB/ATH — Parkview Baptist

The versatile young two-way and multisport athlete joins the backfield of a program with a long tradition of productive running backs, including the most recent all-district performer graduated off the the Division-I college ranks. Domingue is an elusive runner with quick changes of direction and the ability to bounce from traffic for big gains in the open field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1372164' first='Carson' last='Gurzi'] — 6-1, 190 QB — Carencro

The traditionally run-heavy Golden Bears have notably opened up their passing offense the past couple years to record-setting new heights and now also appear to have one of Louisiana's top young quarterbacks in the program to take the reins in the coming years. Gurzi already has good size at his age, a strong arm and impressive poise and feel for both the pocket and the game as a whole.

[player_tooltip player_id='1372199' first='Curtis' last='McAllister'] — 6-3, 165 WR — Metairie Park Country Day

The son of New Orleans Saints legend Deuce McAllister looks to be among the early prospects to know in a promising 2028 class in the state. Curtis is a multisport athlete for his Cajuns with a long, lean frame and great ball skills that make him an intriguing young pass-catcher on the football field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1372182' first='Kamari' last='Navarre'] — 6-0, 160 TE — St. Augustine

Navarre actually garnered a quick Prep Redzone Louisiana note this summer among the Purple Knights' deep receiving corps at the Ragin' Cajuns' annual high school 7-on-7 tournament. St. Augustine has a wealth of speedy outside weapons who appear poised to contribute this fall, and Navarre may see some early opportunities of his own bolstering the tight end room replacing one of the state's best 2024 prospects at the position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1080644' first='Solar' last='Tynes Jr.'] — 6-3, 240 DL — Hammond

The big trench standout of the group, Tynes was spotlighted by Prep Redzone Next as a big, disruptive playmaker for his Tornadoes' defensive front. Tynes appeared to work primarily as a defensive end as an eighth-grader, but is now listed another 30 pounds heavier as he continues to develop into a likely tackle long-term. He showed a good get-off to his rush and strong hands to stop ball-carriers in their tracks at first contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='1375178' first='Noble' last='Williams'] — 5-11, 175 RB — Alexandria

The Trojans have a senior 1-2 punch expected to help shoulder a heavy load in the ground game this fall as the team turns the keys to the offense over to a sophomore passer. But Williams has looked the part early of a promising running back prospect in his own right — as well as a talented baseball player and one of the state's top young javelin-throwers — and may see some opportunities sooner than later to provide some depth to the Alexandria backfield.
