2026 X-Factors in Crowley and North Crowley High School

Having covered the Mansfield high schools, I think it's time we take a look at the other schools that make up the 6A, Region 1, District 3 Conference, starting with Crowley and North Crowley High School. As the season gets closer and closer and we dive deeper into the athletes on all of these teams, it is shaping up to be an exciting year with a high level of competition across the whole district.    Another standout cornerback in this group, Cook's instincts are probably the most impressive feature when it comes to his game. He has a knack for fighting for the ball and not just breaking up passes and being able to completely take a receiver out of the play in man coverages. Even when the ball is not in his general area, he has great close out speed and a willingness to get off of blockers and make tackles near him.      While possessing the obvious physical attributes for the offensive tackle position, Turntine's IQ and athleticism are just as impressive, being patient and not lunging into any blocks and an ability to keep his balance, his feet underneath him, and stay in front of the defender as they try a multitude of pass rush moves. Once he gets his hands on his assignment, it's pretty much game over, as he is able to keep them there and drive his feet until the whistle.      Able to play on the interior and exterior of the defensive line at a high level, Beasley makes his impact known in a variety of ways, performing stunts inside and out well, using a multitude of pass rush moves, and an ability to get off of double teams and make the tackle. He has great close down speed to get to the quarterback and running back in the backfield, and a willingness to go until the whistle on every play.      I would describe Hooper as an ultimate sideline to sideline linebacker, being able to find and attack the ball anywhere on the field. Being able to shut down both short and crossing routes near him in the passing game, and finding and exploding through gaps in the line as he runs past any pulling linemen to make the tackle in the running game, the potential Hooper shows definitely make him one to watch come game time this year.      With the ability to read the eyes of the quarterback while in both man, in which he does well to keep the receiver uninvolved with any ball thrown his way, and zone coverage, Ford's film definitely pops as an exciting prospect at the cornerback position. His IQ for the game also shows through his communication switching assignments mid-play, and his athleticism and strength while making it difficult to get past his press coverage.
