[player_tooltip player_id='1311244' first='Mason' last='Trimble'] is a quarterback who has jumped onto our radar this offseason. After spending last season as a backup, he will look to take over as the likely starter for the Tigers this season. Trimble has a strong arm which he is able to use to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to hit his receivers out of their breaks so that they can make catches in stride. Trimble doesn't currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and should have a lot of eyes on him this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='773240' first='Nathan' last='Verax'] is another quarterback who has been serving as a backup and will be stepping into a starter role this season. Verax is very impressive when rolling out of the pocket, showing the ability to keep his eyes down the field to make accurate throws on the run. He also throws an impressive deep ball, showing the arm strength to stretch the field and hit his receivers in stride. Nathan doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player to keep an eye on as he steps into the starting role.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279071' first='Gavin' last='Hinkle'] is an offensive lineman who caught my attention at our camp in Louisville this summer. Hinkle has very strong hands, showing the ability to fight off moves from opposing defensive linemen and keep inside position with ease. He is also very impressive in pass protection, showing the ability to get into his pass sets quickly and keep a strong base, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. Hinkle doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on heading into his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='401927' first='Steron' last='Davidson'] is a player who stood out to me when breaking down sophomore year film and watching him in person at our Louisville camp. Davidson has shown the ability to line up in the inside at nickel and on the outside at corner. He is very reliable in man coverage, showing the ability to open up and run with receivers to mirror their routes then break on the ball with perfect timing to make a play when it is thrown his way. Steron finished last season with two interceptions and several pass breakups. He also has shown the ability to provide support against the run, finishing his sophomore year with 64 tackles and three tackles for loss. Davidson doesn't currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and definitely has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1326128' first='Jace' last='Hunt'] is a player who caught my attention when watching his sophomore year film. Hunt is a dangerous offensive weapon, finishing his sophomore season with 839 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns. As a receiver, he has very reliable hands and has shown the ability to make tough catches in traffic. Once he gets in the open field, both as a receiver and out of the backfield as a ball carrier, he has the speed and elusiveness to break away on a big gain at any given moment. Hunt also returned one kickoff for a touchdown last season and played a key role on defense at corner, finishing the year with 26 tackles, four interceptions, and 10 pass breakups. Jace currently holds an offer from Kentucky Wesleyan and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play multiple positions at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1194022' first='Gavin' last='Lyons'] is another two-way player who has jumped onto our radar this offseason. On offense, he does most of his damage at receiver where he is able to use his speed and route running ability to create separation with ease. He has also shown the ability to pose as a threat in the running game as a ball carrier, showing the speed and elusiveness to break away on long runs. Lyons finished his sophomore year with 750 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns. He also makes an impact on defense as a defensive back, finishing last season with 59 tackles, three tackles for loss, and four interceptions. Gavin doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to watch heading into his junior year.

My final new addition to our class of 2026 rankings in the state of Kentucky to keep an eye on is [player_tooltip player_id='971537' first='Caden' last='Jones']. On offense, Caden is a very impressive running back, scoring nine touchdowns as a sophomore. He has great vision, showing the ability to find the running lane then using his speed to hit the lane in a hurry and run away from the defense on long runs. Jones has also proven to be an electric return specialist on special teams. On defense, Jones has shown the versatility to line up at both safety and nickel where he is very reliable in coverage and against the run. He finished his sophomore year with 60 tackles, two interceptions, and four pass breakups. Caden doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on heading into his junior year as he has the talent to play on either side of the ball at the next level.
