The San Diego product is one of the highest rated signal callers across the Southern California region in the 2026 class, and is headed back to University City high school for his Junior season. Checking into our rankings as a top 25 quarterback in his class, he currently holds offers from Georgia Southern, Charlotte and Georgia State heading into the Fall. He is a big armed kid that moves well around the pocket, can fit the ball into tight windows and shows he can throw on the run while able to put nice zip on the ball over the top and throws his receivers open vertically.

The Mount Carmel product is one of the top pastors across the San Diego section and has good experience entering into his Junior season this fall. He is another athletic pocket passer that moves well around pressure while keeping his eyes down field and puts good velocity and spin on the deep ball. He processes defenses quickly and can deliver the ball with accuracy in the short and intermediate game while leading his receivers open downfield and shows good ball placement and accuracy, especially for his age. Checking into our rankings as a top 250 player across the state of California, he will be one of the better throwers across the San Diego section in 2024 and is definitely a name to keep an eye on.

DeAnda is a true dual threat quarterback with a snappy release and gets the ball out quick with a good spiral and shows precision downfield. On tape, he shows good throwing mechanics and can place the wall into tight windows at the third level will not afraid to air it out when needed. DeAnda also shows strong pocket awareness, knows when to step up and scramble and has a strong initial burst and can make defenders miss in the open field with breakaway speed. Although a bit undersized, he is a very elusive and twitchy runner that can make big plays with both his legs and downfield throwing abilities.

Hopkins is a very good sized kid measuring in at 6'4" 200 pounds, and will only continue to grow and develop through the final two years of his prep career. He is a pocket passer that is tough to bring down and knows when to tuck it and run with sneaky athleticism and open field speed in the clear. He has a big arm downfield and can really stretch the field while able to fit the ball into tight windows over the top, and throws his receivers open downfield. Hopkins has quite a lot of untapped potential and should really progress nicely next off-season and start seeing his stock rise in the winter and spring.

Tarrant enters into our rankings as one of the more impressive rising small school Junior quarterbacks in the Section, and should have a huge Junior season for Wheatland. Coming off a very successful second season campaign, he checks into our WL rankings and is a no brainer breakout candidate heading into 2024. On tape, he shows he is an efficient decision maker that gets the ball out quick, knows when to take off and does a nice job at keeping his eyes downfield under pressure. Look for Tarrant to be one of the better offensive weapons across the region this Fall.
