He processes defenses quickly and can deliver the ball with accuracy in the short and intermediate game while leading his receivers open downfield and shows good ball placement and accuracy, especially for his age. On tape, he shows good throwing mechanics and can place the wall into tight windows at the third level will not afraid to air it out when needed. DeAnda also shows strong pocket awareness, knows when to step up and scramble and has a strong initial burst and can make defenders miss in the open field with breakaway speed. He is a pocket passer that is tough to bring down and knows when to tuck it and run with sneaky athleticism and open field speed in the clear. He has a big arm downfield and can really stretch the field while able to fit the ball into tight windows over the top, and throws his receivers open downfield.
