2025 Sleepers: Prospects with Great Film That I Loved, Part IV

Creating media buzz, notoriety, and calling attention for deserving prospects that are is a selfless joy I partake in. That said, independent of any agenda, here are some player's tapes that I really enjoyed and are simply and outright good football players.</p>    <p>From Manalapan, [player_tooltip player_id='821712' first='Jason' last='Rodriguez'] is a back that might surprise just about everyone but those on the Braves' schedule. Blessed with natural bounce and cutback ability, he can make multiple cuts in the backfield before getting to his designed hole. In space, Rodriguez will look to bounce and use the stiff arm to gain the edge; whereas near the goal line he will drive and attack the middle of the line. Rodriguez's pad level is low, especially as he bursts through the line of scrimmage and maintains good balance, breaking from and staying upright through several tackles. Lastly, Rodriguez will stick his face into his assignment's chest in pass protection. </p>     <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/BrendanScoutsNJ/status/1816952516556243397 </div></figure>    <p>Having featured Bowman in a piece about Cherry Hill East in the past he is a name that I am familiar with, yet his film is impressive none the less. Due to his unique combination of speed and size, Bowman is a clear mismatch for both safeties and linebacker. The rising senior can high point the ball and use his height to his advantage, making contested grabs while out-positioning the opposition in the process. When used as a puller in the run game, with a running head start Bowman looks to demolish his assignment; whereas when in-line blocking, he has a good get off and works to refit his hands.</p>     <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JaxsonBowman/status/1799819308786491795 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">I first learned about [player_tooltip player_id='819155' first='Jayden' last='Loftin'] during the 2023 spring camp circuit and was impressed from the moment I watched him compete. Quick off the ball, Loftin can stem two gaps over. Should Loftin be unable to get home on the quarterback after working his swim, he will match the hand accordingly. Speed-to-power is not an issue when pass rushing, as he uses both approaches separately and in tandem, extremely well to open up and attack inside rush lanes. When playing the run Loftin gets his arms extended and has shown he can generate power from his hips. My lasting impression about Loftin's film is that he is passion about the game and excited to make impact plays; all the while an ultimate competitor. Where other SEC commits would feel as if they had noting left to prove and only much to lose, this camp season Loftin was on the road competing and refining his skills.</p>     <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/jay24FB/status/1800916722565906602 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Another very good, high-quality player out of Phillipsburg is linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1189144' first='Jayden' last='Lucas']. Lucas sees things develop very quickly, recognizing his keys immediately and either efficiently getting to his drop or penetrating his run fit gaps quicker than some linemen can get there. Lucas also plays well when using his hands, engaging with, separating from, and shedding offensive linemen - way better than most high school linebackers. With his motor, we see Lucas run sideline to sideline, taking outstanding angles of pursuit in the process. </p>     <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Jayden_Lucas06/status/1806346508960158008 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">It is hard to say a prospect with as much notoriety is somehow slept on, yet this is how I happen to feel about [player_tooltip player_id='883312' first='Joel' last='Cordoba']. As a safety, Cordoba reads the quarterback's eyes very well. While the ball is in flight, he is awfully aggressive, making outstanding breaks on the ball, and looking to jump routes where he high points the ball and uses his hands. should Cordoba be unable to get to the ball, he will look to lay body-on-body to his matchup, punishing his receiver and making them second guess themselves in the process. Big hits are only paart of his game, as Cordoba is an A+ tackler too. Also a receiver, he adjusts to poorly thrown balls well and tracks it through the air well.</p>     <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JoelCordoba1010/status/1805709956756521363 </div></figure>    <p>The question of what position he will play truly remains a question for me, as for my money, [player_tooltip player_id='899738' first='John' last='Forster'] is the most versatile prospect in the class. Forster's elite speed is matched with an unimpeded ability to change direction, where defenders absolutely <em>must </em>defend him from the sideline. In the passing game Forster is a mismatch, particularly in the slot, where he also uses his hands to catch. A disciplined ball carrier, Forster runs his track extremely well and follows his blocks. Pass protection is a priority too for the rising senior, as we see his is physical and will fearlessly pick up blitzers.
