BROOKINGS, SD-- We take one last trip around with our standouts from the OL/DL session at SDSU a couple weeks back with plenty of 2025s that have earned already a handful of offers from this group. Some blew up at SDSU and in my eyes some should have blown up more from what I witnessed from camp a couple weeks back. Who is a 2026 target I would target early? Which 2025 prospects have the wingspan that have high upside too? We unpack it all from the 13 prospects we evaluate from our final report from Jackrabbits Country.

[player_tooltip player_id='1204070' first='Jack' last='Bauer'], OL, Eastview, MN 2025 Twitter

An offensive line prospect that was getting quite a bit of love from college coaches during the OL/DL session at SDSU was Eastview's [player_tooltip player_id='1204070' first='Jack' last='Bauer']. Jack was one that enlightened me with his skillsets most with how much balance came with his footwork, and that showed thru the bulk of the drills I watched him go thru in Brookings. He also impressed me with how quick he was getting driving leverage with his great strength he showed off as we got into 1v1s later into camp as there was plenty of consistence to his tape which shows a constant driver into the second level. The college coaches certainly saw what they wanted over the last couple weeks, as Jack has logged a handful of NSIC and RMAC offers to his recruiting trail as a mid-summer riser on the camp circuit.

Lucas Cordell, OL, Yankton, SD 2025

An offensive line prospect that I could not ignore the upside with, is Yankton 2025 Lucas Cordell. The tape he shows is limited, but you cannot ignore the 6'8 wingspan he carried in his nearly 6'3 260 pound frame. I came away impressed with the upside Lucas had with his change of direction he showed off his drills with his footwork and I certainly would be beating the drum that there is even more growth incoming with in the coming years. That light tape I mentioned, shows off good in pass-protection, however in order to catch the eyes further of college coaches (even though I can track him) he should certainly circle himself on every clip especially against some of the great competition he went up against in 11AA last year. Lucas is one that I believe could catch more eyes this coming fall for sure.

Adam Anderson, DL, Lake Country Lutheran, WI 2026 Twitter

Adam was a 2026 defensive linemen that flashed into my notebook at SDSU, impressing me with the length of his triple broad jump in Brookings as one of the best in his group. Not only was he long with that explosivness, he also impressed me with his fluidity with his pro agility recording a 4.60 which at 6'3 just under 200 pounds, flashes well in my eyes with his measurables. The tape shows off an agile first step to the ball and shows off a quick shedding ability that towers more strength that go deeper than his measurables will show you. Its clear he has great vision, as his position versatility flashes both at as a DE and a DT, but certainly DE is his best at the next-level. Adam is one I will be tracking his junior season out of Wisconsin for sure.

Jace Tonne, DL/OL, Cedar Rapids Prairie, IA 2025 Twitter

Jace was another DL prospect that flashed during the triple broad jump I got to watch at SDSU, as he was another top performer out of those couple groups I watched. At nearly 6'3 250 pounds, Jace was one of the more sizable defensive linemen that found himself at the top of the group in my eyes. Jace is one I wish I could have watched more of his reps on the defensive line, as on tape he flashes more as an offensive guard but certainly is one that college coaches wanted to see the position flexibility in Brookings as just by the athleticism I saw out of Jace, I could see him having a higher ceiling in the defensive trenches from what I could see from his 2023 season and has some Division III interest thus far brewing.

Joseph Prom, OL, Foley, MN 2025

One of the more raw prospects that I got to watch at SDSU was 2025 offensive linemen Joseph Prom of Foley. Although he is raw and very light on recent tape, I grasped some good skillsets out of Joseph that could be a good small school fit for a local Minnesota school. Where Joseph stood out in my eyes was with his footwork and I thought he had faster feet and more balance than I expected to see. He is one that with a good senior season, could have a shot at the next level as a UMAC or MIAC fit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1583329' first='Peter' last='Hiebert'], OL, Chanhassen, MN 2025 Twitter

Peter was a 2025 offensive linemen from the 5A state champion Chanhassen Storm that caught my attention in Brookings. To be honest, I am very surprised how underecruited Peter is as his dominant punch as an IOL show off the enforcement I want my center to have the next-level. Peter flashed at SDSU as well with his footwork and consistent pad-level he showed off and even on the rep where I saw him slightly off-balance, he was quickly reactive getting back to his base with his positioning and winning the rep still from what I witinessed. We certainly should see more NSIC looks coming for this young man.

[player_tooltip player_id='1003933' first='Benjamin' last='Paepke'], OL, Rapid City Central, SD 2025 Twitter

One of the uncommitted 2025 South Dakota OL prospects I had circled before the session started was Rapid City Central's [player_tooltip player_id='1003933' first='Benjamin' last='Paepke']. Benjamin was one I was surprised didn't get more attention offer-wise from the SDSU OL/DL camp, as he showed off an eye-appealing bend at 6'5 280 pounds and passed my eye test as well with his great footwork he showed off. His dominant hands and pad-level showed off a fluid punch that I watched in Brookings and although he has a bunch of Division II offers, I could certainly see an FCS opportunity slide in for Benjamin by the end of the summer although I would love to see his dominance in the coming years in the NSIC or the RMAC too. Still a slight sleeper in my eyes coming out of West River.

Ty Mikel, OL, Pierre T.F. Riggs, SD 2025 Twitter

Ty is an OL prospect I feel I have seen everywhere on the camp circuit this summer, but to me left his biggest mark in the OL group in the 2nd session at SDSU. What I liked out of Ty was the proficency he showed off with his hands, even when he had to make some quick readjustments he was able to still win the board drill that I watched due to his excellent football IQ and was one that appeared very coachable from the guidance he got from the SDSU staff. College coaches have also been made aware of his wingspan this summer, stretching out to nearly 6'6 at SDSU and is one that has been a work-horse in the Governors weight room working on his speed and agility, which also flashed well for his size at 4.69 in Brookings. He is one that I could see more offers coming in on his recruiting trail in the next few weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='798261' first='Victor' last='Hernandez'], OL, Sioux Falls Jefferson, SD 2025 Twitter

Another prospect I have seen at a handful of camps and one that has intrigued me with his quick development is Sioux Falls Jefferson's [player_tooltip player_id='798261' first='Victor' last='Hernandez']. He certainly is one that has risen this summer with the growth of his footwork as from camp to camp, I saw great development from Victor as I could tell from his showing at SDSU, how coachable this young man appears to be. He also struck a chord with me during 1v1s, as he showed off great balance and aggression with his hands too. I also feel in just a short time, Victor has gotten even smoother with his pad-level from getting to watch more depth this summer at camps. He has some steam with a handful of D3 and NAIA offers, and is now starting pick up further steam amongst the NSIC, as one to stay tuned for in the coming weeks to see what more he can pick up on his recruiting trail.

Connor Heiderman, DL/OL, Battle Creek, NE 2026 Twitter

One of the most impressive 2026s I caught especially during 1v1s in the SDSU OL/DL session was Battle Creek (NE) defensive linemen Connor Heiderman. Also stretching out with his wingspan to over 6'6, Connor was a constant winner during 1v1s that I thought should garner more attention early as a 2026 target. You could quickly tell as I zoomed in that this young man has an outstanding football IQ and plays with every ounce of instinct you want in your defensive trenches. He demonstrated great hands and very quick shed off speed as I loved his attention to detail he picked up quickly from coaching from the Jackrabbits staff as one that I believe has developed swiftly since his sophomore season. I also couldn't forget to mention the A+ character that Connor has and one that stood out high to me amongst the OL/DL group in Brookings. Certainly one to know out of Nebraska in 2026.

Jordan Ivy, DL, Liberty North, MO 2025 Twitter

I swear it happens every year I make the trip to SDSU, one prospect always flashes heavily at the end of 1v1s which nearly a couple weeks ago it was Liberty North (MO) defensive linemen Jordan Ivy. This young man showed off some of the most dominating hands I saw in the DL group in Brookings, and although I wish I watched him more, I would consider him as one of my DL selections for top performers in the limited reps I watched which just shows how forceful he was in the those reps. Jordan was electric with his attention to detail, as you could engage from his position angles that he could improvise pre-snap how he was going to get into the backfield and the second he engaged relished his football IQ into his defender quickly with all the instincts he has. He might be undersized, but man I would certainly have offered this kid if I was a college coach at SDSU.

More Standouts from SDSU:

Grant Manning, DL, Kenosha Indian Trail, WI 2025 Twitter

Carter Holmes, OL, Benton Community, IA 2025 Twitter
