A consistent competitor under Head Coach Heath Gilbert, the Hawks are looking to break through this season and make a deep playoff run. Love the way he can track down a deep ball he makes it look so effortlessly. He is mean, physical and nasty on the offensive line especially when they pull him. A good pass blocker too but were he really shines is in the Hawks running attack. It was pretty common to see on his tape below that any big run they had, Williams was the one clearing the way. Ford is 6'2 and 185 lbs. he is a piercing defender and plays both the run and pass very well for his position. Schmitz is another young man you will want to keep an eye for years to come as he is ranked in his class overall top 100. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Love the way he comes off the ball, it looks like many times right off the snap he knows exactly where a play is going. Standing at 6'2 and 210 lbs. Lockhart has a good wingspan and knack for always being around the football. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At tight end you can spread him out wide for a 50/50 ball or put him on the line of scrimmage. He is good at both and can be downright physical blocking defenders. Love that he has his special teams highlights below, that is sure to attract colleges to him as well. Junior Barret Stephens fits that bill and then some. He is a mean athletic tackle, who moves really well on the run. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Good size and length at 6'3 and 255 lbs. Stephens is looking like a big time stock riser. Qasim should be another target at receiver for the Hawks and also a nice compliment to Lockhart and Maxwell. We started several&nbsp;freshman and sophomores last season and their growth heading into the season will be pivotal in our win total. We were very successful in our summer 7v7 events. Our on-the-field work this summer has provided a solid base heading into camp. The team film we have collected over the summer is a huge teaching tool to prepare our team. We are excited and optimistic about our team. You can tell from what their coaching staff has said all Spring and Summer how motivated the Hawks are.
