PRZPA Team Preview, Central Dauphin

At both positions, he has a great combination of size (6'5 inches tall) strength, and athleticism. In limited reps at tight end, he showed a good ability to run routes and catch the ball. At defensive end he does a nice job of getting off the ball and attacking upfield, but also by keeping contain. He has good strength at the point of attack and holds up well against offensive linemen. He flashed some good skills at tight end. He blocks well on the edge and goes and blocks outside linebackers. He engages with them and drives them well down the field. As a pass catcher, he did a good job. He could clean up the route running, but he catches the ball well. He is good in particular at high-pointing passes thrown towards him in one-on-one situations. He does a great job of firing off the ball and blocking defensive tackles. He is excellent at double-teaming defensive tackles and combo-blocking them. He has good strength and when he locks onto defensive tackles he drives them off the ball. He moves his feet well and stays in front of defenders as well. The 1st thing that stands out in his film is his stance and start. The way he fires off the ball is good for an offensive lineman. At center, he showed he was capable of snapping the ball and then blocking defensive tackles well. He moves his feet well, in particular when he pass blocks. He shows a good stance and fires off from that stance well. He has good strength and he is hard to move off his spot. He is good against the run by keeping good gap integrity against offensive linemen. His film is a mixture of varsity and junior varsity. As a fullback, he was used as a lead blocker and did a nice job blocking edge defenders and linebackers. He shows a good ability to engage and drive them off the ball. As a linebacker, he shows a good ability to come upfield and make tackles in the run game. He also showed long snapping skills. He was used as a slot wide receiver where he showed a good ability to make plays. He was used a ton in the run game. They ran a ton of jet sweeps with Garcia where he ran hard and made defenders miss in space.
