In my opinion, good offensive line play starts from the ground up. I feel good feet and agility mostly trump strength and power. The first thing I noticed about Allex was his feet. What he does in the first two feet of space separates the Tigers' big man. His footwork and hips in the left tackle's pass sets and initial contact in the running game give him an immediate advantage. While I said strength is secondary, guys still have to have a baseline of strength and power, and Allex has that, too. He has the strength to put guys away both in pass pro and blocking for the run.

Boike's athletic future is likely on the basketball court, but on the football field, Blackjack basketball's all-time leading scorer is as lethal throwing a brown, oblong ball as he is shooting a round, orange one. Boike makes quick decisions with the football and has a quick release. He has solid arm strength and can push the ball downfield with accuracy. I didn't get to see him move in the pocket much, but as a guy whose floor appears to be Division II basketball, you know he can move on the football field.

Johnson checks all the boxes when it comes to a top running back. If you are looking for quick feet – Johnson's cutting ability at the line of scrimmage is fun to watch. If you crave speed, the Fairmont Cardinal has another gear once in the open field that few defensive backs can match. Is the ability to bounce off and break tackles your preferred trait? Johnson plays with a low center of gravity with the balance and the strength to keep moving forward even when squared up by a defender.

Balance, agility, and vision are three requirements of a successful running back. Swinea's strengths are in these areas. The way he can pick his way through the line and find open space at the second level stands out. The Trojans' multi-positional player – he also plays defensive back and quarterback – is most effective when he can read the field and use his athletic ability. Once Swinea gets into the open field, he has that second gear that all top-skill position guys have. Defensively, his length and speed allow him to close on receivers and make a play on the ball.
