JAMESTOWN, ND-- We check in back in Jamestown for Part II of our notebook of standouts from the Jamestown Jimmies prospect camp a couple Thursdays ago. Man, does this list have some 2025 sleepers from the Dakotas, Minnesota, California, Washington and Colorado that owned their craft in Jamestown. So many got offers after camp on Thursday that had me like, why is x player so under the radar? As the Jimmies move to Division II, they certainly tapped in at camp in some newer markets that are kind of untapped territory in the NSIC, which I loved to see at camp. Here are the 15 standouts we identified in Part II

Dawson Degelder, ATH, Bemidji, MN 2025 Twitter

The Bemidji Lumberjacks added yet another prospect to my summer camp notebook again in North Dakota, as Dawson Degelder stood out to me in Jamestown. He showed off long strides for his size as I could tell Dawson is a prospect that thrives with his attention to detail as that was shown in the technique he possessed while watching his change of direction. Dawson also flashed with his open field skillsets in Jamestown showing solid vision and I still believe he has some upside to improve that skillset in the coming years. The smooth athleticism Dawson shows on tape is one that I could have a strong senior season upcoming in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='951993' first='Brody' last='Weisenburger'], OL/DL, New Rockford-Sheyenne, ND 2025 Twitter

Brody was one of the first offensive linemen I had within my notebook in Jamestown and flashed plenty of skillsets that are compatible at the next level. At 6'2 250 pounds, Brody showed off great balance with his footwork throughout the day and it started off showing to me during his pro agility. The length of his footwork moving laterally caught my eyes too as there is so much upside left to see him develop his footwork even further. Brody also showed off good pad-level in the reps I watched and I believe has gained some skills in that department since the fall season ended for sure. He is another small town hidden gem that with development certainly has a great upside to the next level.

Landen Downey, ATH, Meridian, WA 2025 Twitter

It seems common that every summer at a prospect camp in North Dakota, I have found a prospect from the state of Washington as a standout which this summer is the case with Meridian 2025 athlete Landen Downey. Landen was one that quickly popped out with his athleticism and great footwork he showed off at the Jamestown camp especially with his instinctive change of direction. The vision also showed out in Jimmies Country, as Landen possessed the awareness in the open field to find tight windows. The 5'11 195 pounder shows off as a significant swiss army knife on tape, and pops out as a slot back at the next-level due to how smooth he is between the tackles and also showed off great hands in Jamestown in the reps I got to watch. In my eyes, this kid's versatility would really standout in the future with this Jimmies offense as a great match at the next-level

Ty Jensen, WR, Chanhassen, MN 2025 Twitter

Ty continued his solid summer at the Jamestown prospect camp as a Minnesota prospect that now cracked into my notebook for a second time during camp season. He was a prospect that you could pick up the quick growth he made from start to finish of camp as Ty jumped out to over 27 feet with his triple jump which has to intrigue the next level with how explosive he has shown to be. Ty was by far one of the smoothest route-runners amongst the wide receiver groups especially with how balance he showed off on the edges of the field during Indy drills where he showed off excellent hands and balanced awareness with his footwork along the sideline. I would say Ty gets more NSIC attention in the coming months as although his summer has been great, I still find him more under the radar at that level than he should be as his change of direction at every camp has been stellar and translates well from testing to the field.

Alexander Rivera, DB/ATH, Fountain-Fort Carson, CO 2025 Twitter

Alexander was a 2025 athlete from Colorado that impressed me in Jamestown with a handful of his skillsets he has at his disposal. His finished burst, solid change of direction and explosiveness was certainly seen by me during the early testing session. Later on at camp, Alex showed off the ball tracking skillsets I wanted to see as during 1v1s he showed off how well he can win reps with his sound positioning pre-snap which carried well into every rep I got to watch. As you want out of your free safety, Alexander showed off a consistent downhill presence that has plenty of fire in his physicality when he plays to stop the run. I believe he has an excellent football IQ that is under the radar in my eyes coming out of the Centennial state.

[player_tooltip player_id='725843' first='Zachary' last='Smith'], LB, Tri-State, ND 2025 Twitter

Zachary has cracked my list for standouts just about every time I have gotten a chance to scout him at a camp, and has he showed in Jamestown this young man is a workhorse when it comes to his development over the last handful of months. He showed off every ounce of fluidity I wanted to see with watching his footwork during the bag drill. You can tell that Zachary embraces the attention to the details as from early summer to now, he was much more comfortable too in pass coverage although playing for a HS program that sees plenty of runs at the linebacker position. Zachary in my eyes, is a linebacker prospect that I see will be a great player in the locker room with his character and looking at how much he has improved from over a year ago, I still love the upside this young man can grow playing on Saturdays as Zachary still awaits his first offer.

[player_tooltip player_id='674786' first='Jax' last='Mattern'], QB, Fargo Shanley, ND 2026 Twitter

The 2026 gunslinger from Fargo Shanley is another one that since our last Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine in Jamestown in winter has turned the corner rising his development. I could certainly see it with his ball placement I got to watch at the Jimmies prospect camp as i felt he grow there and showed more agile movement with his mechanics with his release too. Jax has certainly grown with his poise inside in the pocket, as that blossomed smoother as a 2026 quarterback to watch out of the powerhouse Shanley Deacons.

Richie Graham, RB, Antelope, CA 2025 Twitter

Richie was a late camp bloomer for me, as a 2025 running back I was intrigued with a bunch during the reps I watched. Although slightly undersized, the fluidity that Richie ran with stuck out in my eyes like glue as not only the fluidity there with his athletic movement I felt Richie's instinct he processed his movement with struck a chord with the Jimmies coaching staff as this would be a young man you look for his game speed versus his testing numbers. Richie was also showed off great balance with his footwork from watching his Indy drills as a young man that also shined with great character in Jamestown. He is certainly a 2025 RB that you go outside the measurables for.

[player_tooltip player_id='321185' first='Reuben' last='Diehyee'], DL, Sioux Falls Lincoln, SD 2025 Twitter

I don't believe there was a defensive prospect that I watched at the Jamestown Jimmies prospect camp more than [player_tooltip player_id='321185' first='Reuben' last='Diehyee'], as I thought he was the best defensive linemen in attendance. His athletic frame struck highly for me on the eye test and it wasn't just the eye test either, Reuben athleticism was just as impressive especially with his agile footwork during the first bag drill I watched. Reuben was also excellent during 1v1s as the aggression of his hands which showed off multiple reps of how instinctive his inside move really is as Reuben showed off the total package even against bigger competition and did not flinch at all with his physicality, elusive shedding hands, and sudden burst to the ball. I am just so surprised that Reuben's first offer came this late in the summer on his recruiting trail. In my eyes, Reuben is the biggest sleeper in South Dakota's 2025 class by a mile and is a great kid from a character perspective to go with all the skillsets he offers.

Zach Wickenhauser, LB/DB, Norwood-Young America, MN 2025 Twitter

By far one of my favorite 2025 LB/DB hybrids at the camp was NYA's Zach Wickenhauser. Got an opportunity to watch Zach during Week 1 of the 2023 season, and man has this young man certainly rose his stock a ton from September 2023 to July 2024. His agility he showed off in a prospect camp setting gives off a prospect that plays like a man amongst boys when he gets to play downhill, he can be detrimental to the running game, which I believe I saw Week 1 last year too, but the loaded football IQ Zach has sky-rocketed in my eyes since then. Zach also flashed out with more explosive hips up in Jamestown which matches with what I saw in the triple jump, in which Zach jumped over 29 feet which was in the top two or three prospects out of the 120+ in attendance. Zach is another 2025 sleeper from a great football program and is another high charactered young man that will enlighten any college football locker room. Zach is another that I am surprised just got his first offer, as the Jimmies certainly saw what I saw and you also have to be intrigued with the position flexibility you have with this young man as in my eyes, Zach looks like a safety at the next level in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1113087' first='Xavier' last='Muse'], QB, Fargo Davies, ND 2026 Twitter

Another 2026 quarterback that from the eyes has improved a whole lot since our winter Prep Redzone Dakotas combine in Jamestown, is Fargo Davies QB [player_tooltip player_id='1113087' first='Xavier' last='Muse']. I recall last winter, that if this young man can improve his mechanics and release, that the upside was certainly there for the taking and man, do I love the progression Xavier has made since Xavier. He certainly was more mechanically sound and I loved watching how much smoother his release has gotten from last winter. There also was improved ball placement and precision flying out of Xavier's arm in Jamestown, as a 2026 QB that will certainly get a rankings bump before the season starts.

Christian Hiner, QB, Mead, CO 2025 Twitter

One of my favorite quarterbacks I got to watch up in Jamestown hailed from the state of Colorado, in Mead 2025 quarterback Christian Hiner. Overall, I thought Christian had the best three level arm talent in Jamestown. He certainly had the most fundementally sound release mechanics in the QB group I got to watch. Christian had excellent arm strength and what was most eye-popping to me was his ball placement as he picked his spot and hit it on the money on the reps I watched in Jamestown. With that arm talent I mentioned, Christian I could tell was loaded with football IQ based on the throw speed he possessed on different levels of the field and having that recoginition on where to excel with his touch throws and where to throw bullets with his quick release. The Jimmies too did their homework on this 2025 QB sleeper, as Christian got an offer from the NSIC's newest member after camp.

James Wilson, WR, Shiloh Christian, ND 2025 Tape

Wide receivers standout in a multitude of ways at camps, from their change of direction to their catch radius, which was where Shiloh Christian 2025 wide receiver James Wilson stood out to me in Jamestown. He also showed off a fluid first step that popped out with instinctive movement as a wide receiver as one that shows the upside instinctively to be a game changer in the open field with a scat route. I wish I would have caught more of James's reps in 1v1s as I would loved to see the seperation he constantly gets on corners in the second level as there is great finish on tape with his burst. James certainly is a 2025 WR I will be tracking out of Shiloh Christian this 2024 season and is one that certainly plays outside his measurables with a great shot at playing at the next-level.

Manuel Hurtado, DL, Eden Prairie, MN 2025 Twitter

Manuel was a prospect that got added to my notebook late into camp due to his performance during 1v1s. They always "the low man wins in the trenches and that was the case with Manuel on every rep I watched as I liked what I saw out of his bend and certainly played with a chip on his shoulder as a slightly undersized 6'0 240 pounds. Manuel showed off good leverage in Jamestown and constantly got home with great timing with his reps I watched. Coming out of powerhouse Eden Prairie, I certainly believe a full senior tape will do this kid the justice to get a chance to play on Saturdays.

[player_tooltip player_id='802392' first='Joshua' last='Chavez'], LB, Watford City, ND 2025 Twitter

Joshua is a 2025 linebacker that I had been waiting to see for a while in a college camp setting and his live evaluation went as well I wanted it to be. His vision was his calling card at linebacker, as he was impressive during 1v1s playing with a constant presence downhill with plenty of consistent physicality when he made contact on the ball carrier. Joshua also impressed me with his wirey motor and fluidity with his footwork and was one of the best gap readers amongst the linebacker group I watched in attendance.
