5 Breakout Candidates in 2024: Running Back

He has great size and while he's versatile, and racked up a lot of yards out of direct snaps, he's starting to learn the intricacies of the running back position and his vision has steadily improved. Lakewood will replace multiple seniors in its deep running back rotation and Carr could be the primary beneficiary of the change in personnel this season. Still, he averaged over 7.5 yards a carry and showed off some impressive shiftiness and skill in the open field. Even more impressive is that even at his size, he was able to excel between the tackles. He has an excellent athletic profile and the ability to finish plays near the end zone. Already possessing great size and burst, Best has good vision and as he continues to add weight to his frame, he should begin to break more tackles and work more inside.
