You can rarely have a successful team without a successful running back. The Running Back position is still one of the cornerstone positions in football, especially at the High School level. This time around, I'll be evaluating the six new RBs in the massive 2025 rankings update.

I'm shocked that I didn't catch on to [player_tooltip player_id='1298776' first='Noah' last='Sanders'] earlier. First off, Noah's film shows dominance against some of the best run-defense teams in Michigan. Second, Noah has recently earned several MAC offers, plus a Greyshirt offer from Michigan State.
There are a few near-elite traits that Noah possesses as a running back that make him a fringe B1G 10 prospect. First, his speed. Noah self-reports as running a 4.4 40, and I generally believe it. His tape shows great explosiveness out the gate and sensational top-speed at the second level. In addition, Noah has sneaky-good athleticism, with is showcased on many of his inside runs. There are several highlights where Noah makes a quick, subtle juke, fake, etc that allows him to navigate through tight traffic. In addition, his balance is quite good, and he doesn't allow arm tackles to bring him down, but I'd like it if his contact balance was a tad better.
The vast majority of his highlight are inside runs between the tackles. Though I have no doubt that Noah has high upside with the outside run and pass game.

That's right, two new additions from Groves who're ranked extremely high. Mario, like Noah, excels at running between the tackles and making people miss in tight spaces. Where I think Mario is a tad less athletic and fast as those ranked above him, he sports way better power than most backs. When being tackled, Mario keeps his feet moving, his pad level low, and has the balance to run through a ton of half-effort tackles. He also has a solid stiff-arm shown off a few times. All in all, Mario is a near-elite high school running back who'll undoubtedly have a standout senior season.

Brock is someone who can play multiple positions, and he'll look to earn the starting RB job at Catholic Central. The very first highlight on his Junior tape shows good vision, balance, and power in the 25-yard touchdown run. Throughout his tape, Brocks proves to be a hard-nosed, physical running back. He currently lacks a bit in athleticism, and his current size doesn't allow him to be the power running back I think he could be. Though, If I know anything about GR Catholic Central, they develop their players incredibly well. I'm banking on a breakout season from Brock!

Tyrese is an incredibly underrated Running Back at Mona Shores. All in all, he's a well above-average running back who made some plays against very good teams last season. Whether he's running inside out outside of the tackles, Tyrese makes the most of his carries. Oftentimes, he engages with a defender, hits him hard, and more often than not, gains at least a few extra yards. In addition, I think his vision is quite good. There are several instances where Tyrese makes a correct read in tight traffic, but doesn't quite have the twitchiness to make the necessary juke to convert. With better athleticism, this could be a great college prospect. He'll be running behind a D1 prospect, but still for Tyrese to have a standout senior season.

Jack did a lot of great things last year at Wyoming. The first thing that'll catch your eye is his 6'2" 225lb frame. He's a massive running back who runs very hard. Generally, he's a physical mismatch and a good power running back. Although he lacks the top speed and twitchiness to make an explosive play, he's good for a handful of yards as long as the O-Line does their job. Jack is not afraid to run through someone, and if he shows a leap in athleticism this season, he will be a college prospect.

PJ is the epitome of a Power Back. In the Wing-T offense, PJ is a difficult runner to bring down. I like how PJ is able to power through arm tackles, keep running downhill, and patiently follow his blocks. Where he's a great power back, he really lacks in speed and overall athletic ability. PJ can still be a college prospect, he'll have to develop better speed first and foremost. Still, PJ earns a ranking and is a prospect to watch this Fall!
