As we get closer to the 2024 high school football season, another rankings update period has begun. After covering the top players at each position in the upcoming senior class, I wanted to turn my attention to some players outside the top five at their position who saw their stock rise in the rankings update. To kick things off, here are some quarterbacks who are on the rise in the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='1176270' first='Justus' last='Wertzler'] is a quarterback who has improved his stock in a big way this offseason. As a junior, Wertzler completed 54/105 passes for 915 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions in 10 games. He has been very impressive in the camp circuit this summer, showing off his arm strength which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. Wertzler also has great pocket mobility, showing the ability to maneuver in the pocket and escape when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to find an open receiver. He has also shown the ability to make plays as a ball carrier, finishing his junior season with 44 carries for 248 yards and two touchdowns. Justus currently holds offers from Presbyterian and Kentucky Wesleyan, and I expect more to come his way as he definitely has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1252814' first='Kaleb' last='Passmore'] is another quarterback who has caught our attention this offseason. As a junior, Passmore completed 114/243 passes for 1,535 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 12 games. He has impressive accuracy, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks where only they can catch the ball. Passmore also has the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Kaleb currently holds offers from Thomas More, Mount Saint Joseph, Calumet, and Florida Central Tech, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='838982' first='Trajdon' last='Davis'] is a quarterback who has been on our radar for a while now and has continued to climb up our rankings. Davis had a solid junior year, completing 79/158 passes for 1,118 yards, 12 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 12 games. Trajdon has a strong arm which he uses to hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game. He also puts a solid amount of touch on his passes, putting the ball where only his intended receiver has a chance to catch it. Davis is also very dangerous as a ball carrier, finishing this past season with 154 carries for 494 yards and nine touchdowns. Trajdon currently holds an offer from Kentucky State and I expect more to come his way as he is a very talented quarterback prospect.

My final quarterback stock riser for the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='619122' first='LaBryant' last='Strader']. Strader is coming off a strong junior year in which he completed 81/125 passes for 1,813 yards, 20 touchdowns, and one interception in nine games. LaBryant throws an impressive deep ball, showing the arm strength to stretch the field with ease. He has also shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. Strader has also shown the ability to tuck the ball and make plays as a runner when needed, finishing his junior year with 50 carries for 201 yards and seven touchdowns. LaBryant currently holds offers from UVA Wise and Rio Grande, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to be a reliable quarterback at the next level.
