Region 1-6A is shaping up to be one of the most competitive Regions in any classification this Fall. The Region is loaded with talented players on the defensive side of the ball. Below is our Preseason All Region team for 1-6A.

DPOY

[player_tooltip player_id='415053' first='Coleman' last='Lewis'] - 2025 LB - Lowndes

The 6'1 210 3-Star LB is one of the top returning tacklers in the State this Fall. He had 119 TT with 12 TFL and 2.5 sacks to earn 1st Team All Region honors last season. A versatile athlete that can play the inside or the outside LB spot. Great run stopper and excellent in coverage. Has over 27 offers to play at the next level. Outstanding on The Diamond as well where he just recently competed in Omaha in the National Championships batting over .400.

DL

[player_tooltip player_id='1315944' first='Amari' last='Wilson'] - 2025 DL- Colquitt County

The 6'3 226 DL was one of our off-season fast movers in the Prep Redzone Rankings. The recent East Carolina commit. Absolute beast up front and lived in the offensive backfield last Fall. He recorded 70 TT with 21 TFL with 3 sacks to earn a spot on the 1st Team All Region team.

Malaki Mowan - 2025 DL - Camden County

The 5'10 250 DE may not be the tallest guy across the defensive front in the Region but he is built like a fire hydrant and has a nonstop motor. Gets off the LOS quick and plays under his pads, physical and great tackler.

[player_tooltip player_id='934067' first='Tad' last='Christman'] - 2025 DL - Richmond Hill

The 6'3 230 DT is a multisport athlete at Richmond Hill. Athletic DL that gets off the ball quickly. He had 62 TT with 5 TFL last season. A long lean frame that still has room to grow. Quick off the line of scrimmage and is an excellent tackler. Has the upper body strength to hold his own vs bigger OL. A diamond in the rough at Richmond Hill.

LB

[player_tooltip player_id='1637933' first='Nykobi' last='Brown'] - 2025 LB - Valdosta

The 6'4 250 Brown has great size to be a successful edge rusher at the next level but possess the athleticism to play the LB spot very well at the high school level. The recent UConn commit can chase sideline to sideline and has the ability to drop back in coverage as well. Darkhorse candidate for the Region DPOY.

[player_tooltip player_id='1557497' first='Wayne' last='Austell'] - 2025 LB - Camden Co

The 6'3 200 LB was 2nd on the Wildcats Semifinal team in total tackles last Fall with 87. Long and lean with a big wingspan. Has great vision at the LOS and reads plays well, always seems to be in the right spot at the right time. Picked up interest this offseason from Valparaiso and Bethune Cookman and would not be surprised to see him be a late bloomer this recruiting cycle.

Jayden Stallworth - 2025 LB - Lowndes

Physical LB that likes to bring it. He had 49 TT last season for the Vikings with 3 TFL. Stallworth picked up an offer from Marshall back in January and is primed to have a breakout Senior year.

Gabe Bauman - 2025 LB - Richmond Hill

The 6'0 200 LB was a tackling machine last season for the Wildcats racking up 114 TT with 4 sacks and an INT. Will be a 3-year starter this Fall and has averaged over 100 TT per season thus far in his high school career. Physical kid that understands angles and has great vision at the LOS. Definitely a next level LB.

DB

Ja'Maric Daley - 2025 DB - Camden Co

The 5'9 171 DB maybe the most overall athletic fella of the group. Officially put up a 10.1 broad jump, a 4.63 40, and a 40.9 vertical jump. He had a successful season year with 34TT and 1 INT from his safety position.

Khalil Mollay - 2025 DB- Valdosta

The 5'9 165 DB was making plays all over the field last Fall for the Wildcats. He recorded 36 TT with 2 sacks, 2 INTS, FF, FR and had a strip sack. Aggressive fella that has that 'twitch" to change directions on a dime. High football IQ that puts himself in position to make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='704198' first='Brandon' last='McDonald'] - 2025 DB - Richmond Hill

The 5'11 182 DB has filled out over the last few seasons and has picked up the interest of college recruiters. Physical DB with good technical skills and is top notch with the ball in the air. He had 7 pass deflections with 2 INTs last season for the Wildcats.

Jah'Boris Fuller - 2025 DB - Colquitt Co

The 5'9 160 DB has quietly gone about being one of the best DBs on one of the best teams in the Region. Outstanding speed and quickness and maybe the best kick returner in the Region with over 400 yards last season. Good technique in coverage and plays great with the ball in the air, turning his body to make plays on the ball. Had 52 TT with 1 INT last year.
