With the 2024 season inching closer day by day, here's a look at the 2028 Quarterbacks in the state of Washington that I feel are destined for some big things over the next few years. Despite only being freshman this upcoming fall, what they have shown on the pre-high school level, speaks volumes. Here's a look

He's been my top 2028 Quarterback in the state of Washington since early September, and nothing has come close to knocking him off that pedestal. In fact, he's only gotten bigger and better since then. An inch taller and 10 pounds heavier, he picked up verbal offers from Arizona State and Miami in May. More are sure to follow here. As an East Coast guy, it's not always the easiest to see talent in the PNW, but it's clear as day here. He will be an absolute difference-maker over the next four years, if everything stays the course as of June 2024. I can't say enough positive things about his game at this point.

Other Top Signal Callers (alphabetical order)

[player_tooltip player_id='984861' first='Brennan' last='Abbott'] | Sumner High School - Played youth ball for Heir and Sumner Middle School. Athletic kid whose best sport might be track and field, as he's a Junior Olympian in the Pentahlon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1293689' first='Jaxon' last='Foy'] | O'Dea High School - Foy does an advanced job of not getting happy feet and staying calm in the pocket. My biggest takeaway is his smooth, over the top releases on passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='984867' first='Jayden' last='Baum'] | Evergreen High School - In my opinion, Baum is a Top-5 QB in the state for this 2028 class. He comes with a big frame, listing himself at 6-foot-2 and 200-pounds. While 6-foot-2 looks to be a little bit of a stretch, he's certainly bigger than the overwhelming majority and has a rocket launcher for an arm.

[player_tooltip player_id='1294288' first='Josiah' last='Meneses'] | West Valley High School - There isn't a tremendous amount of film out there on him, but there's enough to know that there's some ability here. Meneses is likely the smallest QB in this write up at just 5-foot-8 and 145-pounds, but he can spin it. Physical development will be big here.

[player_tooltip player_id='984868' first='Jenner' last='Smith'] | Kennedy Catholic - Smith is a QB that is starting to come on strong as of late. Now up to a self-reported 5-foot-10 and 145-pounds, that's increase of two inches and 10 pounds for the lefty.

[player_tooltip player_id='984864' first='Jordan' last='Meas'] | Eastside Catholic - For my money's worth, Meas is a close number two to Tuivaiave when it comes to top Washington 2028 Quarterbacks. Appears to have really started to transform his body this off-season and looks more than ready for high school ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='984869' first='Julien' last='Woodruff'] | Shorewood High School - Woodruff is another Washington 2028 QB that has turned the corner physically, since September. Up a self-reported two inches and 20-pounds, everything about him is further developed, when it comes to playing the position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1286175' first='Maddix' last='Mawrence'] | Sumer High School - Not the biggest Quarterback, nor does he have the most arm talent in this write up, but Mawrence gets the ball to where it needs to be. Plays with some QB1 swag and confidence that most coaches like to see. If he can grow a bit and build up some arm strength, he has the potential to be one of the good ones.

[player_tooltip player_id='1139323' first='Oliver' last='Setterberg'] | Glacier Peak - I didn't know a thing about Setterberg before a strong April showing at a 7on7 Association event. What I heard about there, and subsequently saw on game film and 7v7 film, make him a top-5 QB in Washington coming out of middle school. I think there's a lot of upside here.

[player_tooltip player_id='1227309' first='Zayden' last='Homann'] | Yelm High School - Just like [player_tooltip player_id='1139323' first='Oliver' last='Setterberg'] (listed above), I wasn't aware of Homann until after the September-December evaluation period. With that said, he has also moved his way into my top-5 of Washington 2028 QBs as of June 2024. Also a basketball player, he's just smooth. Long, tall, just makes playing the game look fun.

On My Radar But Can't Update Without Data (As of June 2024)

[player_tooltip player_id='984858' first='Antoine' last='Williams Jr']. | Unknown High School - Was on my initial list in September, but changed his Instagram handle since September, making the link dead. Can't find via search on social media or google. Hudl says he'll be at Eastside Catholic, but not verified.

[player_tooltip player_id='984865' first='Kenzo' last='Seniours'] | Orting High School - Not much new to report here, unfortunately. There isn't much tangible film available for Seniours as of June 2024. However, with the little bit I have seen of him combined with the pedigree of talent with that last name, I'm willing to roll the dice and say he's one you may want to keep on the radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='984856' first='Rashawn' last='Tymony'] | O'dea High School - Haven't been able to locate any legitimate regular season football film in some time, as of June 2024. On 7v7 film, my takeaway is that height and overall size is lacking, but that he's better athlete right now than he is a pure Quarterback. Also places some Cornerback and with his build/way he moves, he's a plus on the field--just can't stamp QB at this point.
