Lenny Ibarra
Los Alamitos was one of the best running teams in the Southern Section last season and Ibarra had a breakout sophomore season. He ran for 724 yards which was the second most for a sophomore in the county with five touchdowns.
He is a one cut and go kind of running back with good field vision. Ibarra can make plays in the passing game as well and when teams try to cover him with a linebacker, it’s often a mismatch.
Lendsey was the primary running back at Santa Margarita as a sophomore and did a fine job despite the Eagles not running the ball a ton.
He ran for 610 yards on 136 carries with three touchdowns. Lendsey is a downhill runner who is hard to bring down because he drives his feet through contact. Santa Margarita also likes to get him the ball on swing passes and screens and he does a good job getting to the flat quickly.

Ethan Mundt
Mundt was the only sophomore running back to run for over 1,000 yards last season and he had 13 touchdowns.
He projects better as a linebacker at the college level than a running back, but he’s a good football player with good instincts on both sides of the ball.
Troy runs a variation of a double-wing offense and Mundt is often the fullback who runs between the tackles. He has a nice spin move and is a strong runner.
Terry is the best college prospect on this list and has offers from San Diego State and Arizona. He ran for 499 yards with five touchdowns last season for Los Alamitos.
He has plus speed and once he gets past the second level, he is gone. Terry can lower his shoulder to get the extra yard and has the field vision to cut back on zone plays.
Terry has been active on the camp circuit and performed well at the Under Armour Underclassman practices before the All-American game. I’m expecting a huge junior year from Terry and more offers to come.
