Shorter Camp: 6’1+ Players That Tested Well

We take a look at some guys with height that tested out well in the metrics on Saturday at Barron Stadium. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Landon Strickland</strong> - 2025 TE/WR Arab (AL)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Overall one of the most impressive prospects on the day that I knew nothing about heading into the day. 6'4 199 and was in the Top 5% overall in the 40 putting up a 4.6. Impressive physically that carries his weight well. The 3 sport athlete has a reported 36 vertical jump and a 365 PC max. Adjusts his body well to make grabs on balls thrown off target. I'm definitely going to follow this young mans senior season. The 6'3.5 228 TE made the trip North from Florida and was impressive all day. Ran one of the best times for 225+ guys and showed good hands in the 1v1. High football IQ and knows how to get himself open. Productive on the field, had 9 catches for 109 yards in the Spring. Was real good at catching the ball in traffic last season for River Ridge. Adjusts his body well in the air and is tough to bring down after the catch, dragging defenders for extra yards. He has been hitting the camp circuit this Summer and putting up times close to the 4.50 range at all stops. The Gordon Lee rising sophomore ATH ran a 4.65 40 which put him in the top 10% among all campers. Athletic guy that can play any skill position on the field. Had a productive freshman season last Fall with over 1000+ total yards both rushing and receiving. Long and lean at 6'3.5 178 and comes downhill fast from his safety position. A physical tackler that can play multiple positions in the secondary. He is still a relatively unknown prospect with a big upside. Plays in the highest class in the State and gets tested on a weekly basis.
