Recruiting Updates in Virginia

<p>Hello everyone, the Virginia 2026 rankings should be posted this week and I will be previewing some major stock risers from that class all week. I wanted to update you on more kids from the class of 2025 and where they stand in their recruiting. This is a weekly article I will use regardless of the class going forward, here a few updates below:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">William & Mary did not waste any time in obtaining the services of all state receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1230176' first='Kai' last='Austin'], who announced his commitment to the Tribe two weeks ago. Under Head Coach Mike London the Tribe are one of the national powerhouses at the FCS level, this is a major recruiting win for his squad, Austin is one of be the receivers in the state of Virginia. Offers from Hampton University and Dartmouth were not enough as [player_tooltip player_id='1230176' first='Kai' last='Austin'] will be taking his talents to William & Mary, congrats to him and his family!</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/kaisaustin/status/1793389353340744017 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Another Prince William County standout whose market has blown up is offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1231291' first='Jack' last='Smoot']. A full blown division 1 prospect, Smoot this morning announced his commitment to Central Michigan. I told you about this stud before and he has been on many FBS level schools radars for the past year plus. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JackSmoot8/status/1797434927849332857 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Brayden Humphreys is and already has been a star for the Herndon Hornets defense it was only a matter of time before FCS schools starting noticing. A ball hawking safety Humpherys has the size, speed and range to play nickel corner at the next level too, he is all over the field. Picking up offers most recently from Georgetown and the University of Pennsylvania he is due for several more. Particularly with summer camps getting underway I would expect him to have close to 10 FCS offers before week 1.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/BraydenHumpher1/status/1755351887073714392 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">To be honest when I first reviewed [player_tooltip player_id='1230214' first='James' last='Deyo']'s tape I was stunned he had not received any offers prior to me posting it. That all changed yesterday when he got his first Division 1 offer to Marshall University! Now that one school has pulled the trigger I expect the floodgates for Deyo to open. Thought he was an FBS linebacker when I first watched his tape and the Herd seems to be agree with me.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/james_deyo5/status/1797366673650933915 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">I have spent a lot of time covering Virginia Academy's prospect on the defensive side of the ball, but it has to be mentioned wide receiver Domingo Meade is an FCS level prospect. Coming into his own last Fall Meade is a speedster with a sub 4.4 40 that is starting to get him attention from schools such as Uconn and Stony Brook, he also has an offer from UVA-Wise below.
