A somewhat weekly check in I am trying to provide on Virginia 2025 prospects. Well its been quite a couple weeks in regards to Virginia recruits, particularly in Prince William which saw not 1 but 2 top stars commit to Brent Pry and the Hokies.

First off we have Cardinal District Favorite Forest Park and their mannmouth offensively line see their top ranked prospects [player_tooltip player_id='1230162' first='Brandon' last='Edozie'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1228338' first='Nathaniel' last='Wright'] make their decisions. The Bruins big man both committed in the past two weeks with Edozie deciding on Liberty University and Wright choosing Virginia Tech.

Staying in state were both Hayfield's [player_tooltip player_id='1228348' first='Jeffrey' last='Overton Jr.'] and Stone Bridge defensive stalwart Christen Evans. Both all state returnees have committed to Virginia Tech topping off a good week for the Hokies. Overton is the reigning player of the year and rushed for over 2,000 yards a season ago while Evans is a 4 star defensive lineman for Stone Bridge. I broke down Evans play last month:

Stonebridge all state selection Christian “Cheese” Evans is worth the price of admission himself. A speed demon off the edge for the Bulldogs, Evans has a plethora of pass rushing moves that make him incredibly difficult to block. It is important to note that when I say block I do not mean 1 on 1 as not many offensive tackles can keep up with him on their own, I meant 2 on 1, he is that good. The big man has offers galore and he has narrowed down his search to 7 schools including Virginia, Oklahoma, Boston College and Duke. He would be a tremendous get for Coach Elliot's squad out in Charlottesville as he looks to rebuild that program and keep the in state talent at home.

Well I certainly wrong unfortunately for Virginia and Coach Elliot's sake on him I suppose. Nevertheless Battlefield's [player_tooltip player_id='1228353' first='Cole' last='Woodson'] will be making his commitment announcement this coming Monday July 1st he recently announced on twitter. The 30th ranked prospect in the class of 2025 Woodson is a ball hawking corner who will be playing power 5 football very soon. Pittsburgh, Virginia and you guessed it Virginia Tech are a few of his close favorites, I would not be surprised if he went the Blacksburg way too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228353' first='Cole' last='Woodson'] will be playing at the FBS level come 205, as he is a rangy corner with great ball skills. Returning three interceptions for scores in his junior campaign, the dude has a nose for the endzone each time he has the football. He has exceptional hands and good size at 6'1 making it very hard for receivers to even get off the line of scrimmage against him. Demonstrated below on his tape, the young man has the skill set to play either safety or corner in college, I would not be surprised if he did both to be honest. The young man is a legit division 1 prospect, with 5 FBS offers already, if do not know about him, you're about too.
