June Rankings Update: 2027 Offensive Line

We continue to cover our rankings update in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2027. In this article, we will showcase the 2027 offensive lineman with analysis. Over the next month, I will breakdown these rankings by position in each class with other segments included. He is rated as the top overall player and the best in his position in Arkansas by Prep Redzone for the class of 2027. Smith showcases solid pass protection against interior power rushers on Jump and 45 sets, due to his quick initial movements, foot speed, and change of direction, coupled with solid bend to position his body in front and the ability to mirror. His lower body and core strength along with good hand placement, enable him to anchor effectively. He possesses good short-area quickness and delivers a strong initial punch. As a base blocker, he stands out due to his good pad level, active feet, strength, and hand placement, which allow him to move defensive linemen out of their gaps, thereby creating running lanes. He has a notable ability for combo blocking, reaching the second level with good foot speed. His strong lower body allows him to be a solid anchor in pass protection against both speed-to-power and bull rushers.
