First up, we've got Noah Woods from Groves. Noah is what I would call a possession tight end. The first half of his tape shows his receiving abilities. Oftentimes, Noah is asked to run a short out or comeback, where he can sit in a zone. From there, Noah can make a catch but struggles to earn yards afterward. I'd like to see more attention to detail in his route running and better twitchiness, though his current receiving skill is not bad for a Varsity tight end. When he's lining up in-line, Noah is oftentimes utilized as a lead blocker or utilizing a simple down block on the goal line. Generally, he's an effective blocker, but doesn't blow me away in that aspect. All in all, Noah is an extremely productive High School Tight End who deserves college opportunities.

'25 WR | Nick Hardy | Groves | @19NickHardy

Nick is a classic deep-threat wide receiver. Great athleticism, explosiveness, and solid run after catch. His route running is solid, but not quite elite. I like how he explodes out of his stance, and strides downfield on streaks/posts/ other deep routes. He has an ok whip route, but the one shown on tape can be vastly improved. The same is true with his overall run after catch ability. There are a few instances where Nick finds a hole and explodes forward, but he overall tends to struggle in changing direction on a dime or evading tackles if his momentum is slowed. I hadn't looked at Nick's twitter before writing the above, and after looking, I am not surprised that he's garnered attention from GLIAC programs. I think that's exactly where he belongs, and I'm looking forward to see where he ends up playing at the next level.

'25 DB | Teddy Abbot | Groves | @Teddy_Abbot

A Varsity starter since his Sophomore season, Teddy serves as a great safety with some college upside. His stats looks quite good, as he racked up over 80 tackles while making four interceptions. Not all interceptions are the same, and most to all of Teddy's interceptions are a result of very poor throws from opposing quarterbacks. Still, credit to Teddy for the quick reaction time in coming down with those catches. Teddy is also a great open-field tackler, hence his 88 tackles in 10 games. Once the ball is handed off, Teddy shoots himself into the gap, catching the ball carrier at the second level. All in all, Teddy showed a great foundation last season and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish this fall.

'25 LB | Michael Nelson | Harper Woods | @Michaelnelsonh1

Last season, Michael served as a solid off-ball linebacker. The bulk of his highlights show his ability to stop the run between the tackles. Michael is generally a patient player who you can rely on to make tackles in the hole. He isn't timid, but I wouldn't call him aggressive on the defensive side of the ball, either. He also has tape as a fullback/H-Back, being utilized as a lead blocker. There, he does a good job of delivering a big pop to the opposing defender, oftentimes clearing the way for the ballcarrier. He's currently being recruited by D3 and NAIA programs, and I think he'd be a great fit at those levels.

Although his film is a touch short and the fact that Emilo is undersized for the college level, he's a great high school linebacker. This is what I'm talking about when I write about play speed. Emilio is not afraid to go after a ballcarrier, which leads to a ton of TFLs and chasedown tackles on the opposite sideline. Emilio also spends some time at safety, where he may have a higher ceiling. Although there isn't much to go off in terms of pass coverage, he's incredibly skilled at stopping the run. Love the tenacity, and I hope to see a college take a chance on Emilo this offseason.
