At the quarterback position, DFW has some of the top returning signal callers in the state in the class of 2026. For this article we spotlight several rising juniors, two who lead their teams to state titles in 2023, one who is one of the top duel threat quarterbacks in the 2026 class and a signal caller who is ready to take that next step in 2024.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Wallen has a big arm, he has the ability to spray the route at all levels and he can make throws from multiple arm slots. He has the skill set to make throws on the rollout and be accurate. At 6 foot 3 and 225 pounds, Wallen has the frame to make plays with his feet. Payton is coming off an All-District selection in 2023 as a sophomore. He has the game combined with his stout frame that makes him an intriguing prospect. As he heads into his junior season, expect Wallen to get more attention from college programs.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Williams can make all the throws on the route tree and he has the arm talent to thread the needle into tight coverage windows. Ziondre is calm in the pocket with clean footwork and he has the pocket awareness to avoid the rush. Williams has superb field vision with ability to keep his eyes downfield despite the pressure around him. He had a phenomenal sophomore season, leading Anna to a state title. Williams is a talented passer who has a quick release and he has the ability to make big throws in rhythm and on time. Ziondre is on this list because he is one of the top returning passers in the DFW area and he has the skill set to make big plays with his arm. College programs have taken notice. Offers have come in from UTSA, Louisiana Tech, Pittsburg and Texas State.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Murphy plays under control, he navigates pocket pressure with a calm demeanor and his ability to make plays under duress allows him to be an offensive weapon. Quinn has a quick release that enables him to thread the needle into small throwing windows. He is extremely accurate on the run. Murphy plays with a gunslinger mentality, he has the arm talent to make all the throws on the route tree and he has great touch on his deep ball. He lead Liberty Christian to a state title in 2023, passing for 3,052 yards and 52 touchdowns. Murphy has offers from the likes of Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Miami and Oklahoma State. He is one of the top returning passers in the 2026 class in the state of Texas.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Bey had breakout sophomore year, with over 1,100 yards of total offense and 12 touchdowns. He has a live arm with a quick release, he can make all the throws on the route tree and Bey plays with great awareness in the pocket. Legend is a dynamic threat with the football in his hands who can gash defenses in the running game. He is phonebooth quick with the speed and burst to make a house call for six from any distance. Bey is shifty in space and he is dynamic in the open field, which enables him to elude defenders. He is one the top returning signal callers in the 2026 class in the DFW area. Bey has caught the attention of college programs. He has double digits offers from the likes of TCU, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Oregon and most recently California. Bey will be a focal point in the Horn offense in 2024.</p>
