Continue ReadingWide receiver is one of the deepest positions when it comes to the 2025 Iowa Class. Guys remain available to fill multiple roles at the spot on the next level.
Here’s a look at seven of them:
Denzil Green Denzil Green WR Cedar Rapids Prairie | 2025 State IA , 6-2, 175, Cedar Rapids Prairie
Green ranked second among Prairie Hawks in receptions (24), receiving yards (309) and touchdowns catches (2) last season, trailing only ’24 Iowa Hawkeye recruit Apollo Payne. He also carried four times for 32 yards, showing juice on the jet sweep. Green brings versatility to the position as someone who can like up wide or in the slot. He’s also a willing and able blocker in an offense that relies heavily on the run.
Broc Heishman Broc Heishman 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Grinnell | 2025 State IA , 6-1, 175, Grinnell
A preferred walk-on offer from Illinois State on Monday capped a busy month of June that saw the first scholarship offer come Heishman’s way. On a Grinnell outfit that spread the ball around, he caught 12 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown in ’23. He also contributed at safety with 22 solo tackles and 5.0 stops for loss. Some college coaches might prefer his athleticism. and aggressiveness on defense. As a receiver, he’s a crisp route runner out of the slot.
Brock Watson Brock Watson 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Clarke Community | 2025 State IA , 6-3, 195, Clarke Community
Watson brings good length and speed to the position, making him a threat all around the field. He shines on the outside with an ability to get deep and win jump ball. Underneath, he runs crisp routes and can accelerate through a defense with burst. Watson doubles as a dangerous weapon in the return game. He hauled in 65 passes for 855 yards and nine touchdowns in ’23, adding 36.9 yards on 15 kick returns, four of which went for scores.
Mason Randolph Mason Randolph 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Ankeny | 2025 State IA , 6-4, 175, Ankeny
The Hawks boasted a deep group of pass catchers in ’23. The group include Northern Illinois signee Devon Akers. Randolph made the most of his opportunity, registering 18 receptions for 184 yards and a touchdown. He’s the biggest threat in the red zone, where he can utilize his length. The size also helps him when tasked with blocking, something he does well. Outside of the red zone, Randolph operates effectively from the slot.
Maverick Inman Maverick Inman 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR Waukee Northwest | 2025 State IA , 6-2, 170, Waukee
Inman is a nice combination of size and speed. And he turns it into production as evidenced by his 36 catches for 751 yards (20.9 YPC) and eight touchdowns. Inman is a well-rounded wideout who employs precise route running with good burst and a knack for winning contested balls. It stems from his ability to adjust to the throw in the air. Inman looks to have excellent straight-line speed and appears to be football fast.
Collin Decker

Iowa City Liberty | 2025
State
IA
, 6-3, 200, Iowa City Liberty
The Lightning’s depth at its skill positions means Decker can be overlooked by excellent talent around him. He still managed to collect 26 receptions for 415 yards and two scores last season. Decker brings size and long arms to the position making him a tough matchup for shorter cornerbacks. He’s more than a red-zone and fade-route receiver, however. He runs crisp routes and shows a natural feel on the outside.
Yusef Gulley Yusef Gulley 6'2" | 155 lbs | WR Pleasantville | 2025 State IA , 6-2, 160, Pleasantville
Gulley made the most of his 17 receptions last fall, racking up 386 yards (22.7 YPC) and six touchdowns. He also helped the Trojans as a defensive back, recording an interception last fall. It wouldn’t be surprising to see coaches on the next level liking him more on that side of the ball. Gulley provides versatility at receiver, showing he can deliver from the slot and on short routes or lining up outside and getting behind the secondary.
