Lessar will be entering into his senior season this coming fall as he stands in at 5'11” and weighs 290-pounds. Because of this large frame, Lessar has a huge advantage at his OG and NT spot at the POA. When coming off the LOS, Lessar does have a lot of brute strength and force to clog up the middle of the A or B gap for his defense at the NT spot. At times, Shayne was able to chase down a ball carrier to make a tackle a few yards down field but continuing to develop his speed will pay huge dividends into his play. At the OG spot, Lessar did do a great job of in-line and down blocking to clear the opponent out of the way. Defenders trying to beat Lessar with straight power really had a difficult time and had to rely much more on speed. A heavy, powerful, and dominate interior player here for Brockport this coming season.

Wayne Central High School's own [player_tooltip player_id='726195' first='Thomas' last='Ashby'] will be entering into his final season as a senior. Ashby stands at 6'3” and weighs 215 pounds. The majority of the play for Ashby came at the LB and RB positions but Ashby can also play at the TE position. When it comes to the RB spot, Ashby is a physical type of runner that would pick up the hard-earned yards in short yardage situations. If Ashby needed to drive multiple tackles for a few more yards to pick up the first down, he would on tape. What was also an important note was Ashby was able to catch a few passes out of the backfield as well. Turning over to the LB position, Ashby really showed off his physically on opponents. The ability to line up on the outside or the inside was a huge benefactor to Wayne Central's defense. Ashby's strong suite is against the run game and continuing to develop his defensive ability against the pass will be huge to his game. When Ashby trusts his eyes, he is really quick at attacking the opposing ball carrier and bringing them down with force. Such a flexible and reliable piece for Wayne Central this coming year.

[player_tooltip player_id='806388' first='Anthony' last='Johnson'] III is an upcoming senior QB for Edison Tech High School that has a big-time arm. For this QB, he stands in a 5'10” and weighs 185 pounds, but it is the vision that really stood out when watching his tape. The calm presence that Johnson III had to scan the field and go through his progressions really stood out. When it comes to Johnson III natural arm talent, the ability to make throws into tight windows showed multiple times and even a few times deep down the field. Continuing to develop his footwork in his drop back will help with his balance and ability to climb the pocket. If a play did break down, Johnson III was able to use his legs to move the chains for a first down and was able to make throws on the run. Johnson II was able to make throws on the run with good accuracy when plays broke down. Continuing to develop his pure passing accuracy inside the pocket will only help his passing mechanics.

A tremendous amount of speed to power here with Antonio Rivera, who is an upcoming senior at Churchville-Chili. Rivera had a lot of playing time at the DT position, where he was able to make a huge impact rushing from the inside. The burst and straight athleticism pops off film when you first turned it on. Rivera does stand in at 5'10” and weighs 200-pounds, but I would love to see how Rivera would produce as an edge rusher because of the speed he has coming off the LOS. Many times, Rivera was able to work speed to power quickly to trick the opposing linemen to get by and put pressure on the QB. Rivera also made it very evident on film that he is a player that will give you everything when he is chasing down ball carriers from 15-yards behind. Rivera may be more of a pass rushing DT, but he was able to make some impressive stops against the run game as well. A true do-it-all football player that I would love to have on my team.

You talk about a physical QB, then you need to take a look at [player_tooltip player_id='1284135' first='Landon' last='Scott'], who stands in at 6'1” and weighs 215 pounds for Brockport High School. Being able to stand in the pocket and deliver a pass to his intended targets showed on film throughout. What also showed was Scott's ability to scramble with his legs, as he was able to score and pick up multiple first downs by lowering his shoulder. Scott does not have blazing speed, but he has the power to stiff arm defenders to gain extra yardage. The ability to make throws deep down the field with outstanding accuracy showed as well. Being able to make throws with defenders draped all over, Scott was also a major stand out in his game because he is not an easy QB to sack. Continuing to develop his ability at scanning through his passing progressions is only going to make Scott a more polish passer of the football. Scott has all the natural talent in the world to make off-schedule throws, and it certainly will be interesting to see him raise his game to the next level this coming year.

When it comes to Joey Ferretti, he is a smooth lefty thrower for Webster-Thomas High School. Ferretti is an upcoming senior that was able to hit deep passes and back shoulder throws with incredible accuracy with ease. The strength and pose to stand in the pocket confidently to deliver passes with timely accuracy was impressive to watch. Many times, Ferretti was able to make smart reads, and make smart throws for his team to pick up the first down. Getting the ball out of his hands quickly served no issues whatsoever for Ferretti. If Ferretti had to bail out of the pocket to pick up the first down, he could do so as well. As stated before, the confident level of Ferretti when playing at the QB position stood out a lot. Playing relaxed and making easy throws to not hurt his offense was a major standout. Continuing to develop his footwork and balance inside the pocket will pay huge dividends into his final year at Webster-Thomas.
