The Berkeley Springs Indians are coming off of a tough 1-9 season in 2023 but return some talent that hopes to turn things around in 2024. We expect them to improve on their record from a season ago in year two of the Wes Eddy era and begin to see improvements in the program after taking their lumps. Led by talented rising senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='865707' first='Aiden' last='Cain'], the Indians will have some options for him to throw to in Top 125 2026 TE [player_tooltip player_id='894632' first='Adam' last='Rippeon'] and promising 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='897523' first='Kyle' last='Moore'] among others. 2025 OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id='908162' first='Seth' last='Armentrout'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1126409' first='Remington' last='Sites'] will help pave the way for their rushing attack which will see the benefit of Cain's dual-threat ability.

WVSWA Class AA Honorable Mention All-State quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='865707' first='Aiden' last='Cain'] will return for his senior season for Berkeley Springs after putting together a quality junior campaign during a tough year for the Indians. We've liked the 6'3 175 QB for a while now ever since he took over midseason of his sophomore year in 2022. Now with a full season as the starter under his belt, Cain can work over the off-season creating a better rapport with his young receivers to develop the Indians' passing game further heading into year two of the Wes Eddy era. Length is an obvious trait of Cain's that stands out immediately, but he's also an athletic quarterback who could flirt with the dual-threat label. Berkeley Springs relied heavily on his running ability in 2023 to no surprise as he's one of the better athletes on the team. Cain's arm can also hurt defenses as a touch thrower who can stand in the pocket to deliver strikes when he has time. Cain can also roll out and throw accurately on the run with scrambling and make-you-miss ability from the pocket to extend plays. He's at his best on short and intermediate throws whose arm strength will improve as he gets stronger.

We should see progress and more of a sample size of his arm in 2024 with another year of development for him and his receivers as he and the Indians should take a step forward this upcoming season.

Berkeley Springs has a pair of under-the-radar 2025 linemen that you need to know with the first being [player_tooltip player_id='908162' first='Seth' last='Armentrout']. Although we don't currently have size measurements for him, Armentrout appears to have quality size on film as an interior defensive lineman. He's a run-stopping defensive tackle who can line head up over the center or shade to the outside as a one or two-tech. Armentrout is a physical player with quality hand use and block-shed ability. He can stuff the middle and take on double teams at times to free up his linebacker or make a play at the line of scrimmage himself. Armentrout looks stout on film with the frame and body to further develop his physical strength.

He'll be a small college prospect that D3 programs should be looking at during his senior season.

The second 2025 Berkeley Springs big man to know this season is offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1126409' first='Remington' last='Sites']. Sites is a stout 6'1 250 guard prospect with a wrestling background where he was considered a Top 10 grappler in the 285-pound weight class of the AA/A division this spring. On the football field, that wrestling background shows up with his hand use and leverage ability. Sites has obvious physical strength and gets a good push on his defender. He can drive his man downfield and take him out of the play. His pad level and low leverage showed up on film and allowed him to win at the point of contact to let his strength and power do the rest of the work. Sites also flashed the ability and athleticism to be able to pull from his left guard spot in a few instances in his junior highlight tape.

He's another small college prospect who may elect to wrestle in college but has offensive line potential for the next level if he chooses.

2026 Berkeley Springs TE [player_tooltip player_id='894632' first='Adam' last='Rippeon'] currently ranks inside of our 2026 Top 125 rankings as the #6 TE in the class and has shown real potential for the position during his young career. We got to see him live in person at our PRZ WV Combine event earlier this summer and is a physically impressive sophomore athlete. Rippeon is more of a blocking tight end prospect right now which will serve him well down the road where that side of the position gets often overlooked nowadays. He can continue to improve his athleticism to become a bigger threat in the passing game and develop as a receiving target in their offense. However, Rippeon did flash the ability to leak out and run routes as an attached tight end or lining up in the slot. We'd like to see film of his blocking ability as a TE but know he's a very capable blocker in the style of offense the Indians ran last season.

Rippeon is still very much a raw prospect right now, but the potential and upside are apparent which warranted being ranked inside the Top 125 to this point.

Another young Berkeley Springs prospect that we got to see live at the PRZ WV Combine is 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='897523' first='Kyle' last='Moore']. Moore has a bright future if he continues to develop and continues the trajectory he showed as a freshman. Moore measured in at 6'1 155 at our Combine and hit a 4.8 40 in wet conditions along with a 4.3 pro shuttle that showcased his short area quickness as well. That combination of size and athleticism gives him a great athletic foundation to build on over the next three years as he will likely become the Indians' #1 receiving target as a sophomore. Moore flashed big-play ability last season as a freshman which will only continue to improve the more he learns how to utilize his length and fine-tunes his route-running technique. He has after-the-catch ability to create those big plays and can turn a screen pass into a medium or big gain. Moore also flashed the ability to highpoint the ball and out-jump his defender to make the play.

Moore will be a name to follow throughout his high school career and could develop into a scholarship-level prospect by the time he's a senior if he puts in the time and effort.
